Chapter 7-A Whole New World

(After exiting the match and heading back to the HL Headquarters) 

Lukas: Layla! *they hug* I-I thought you wouldn't make it. Layla: Me either but I'm glad the rest of my team really came through. It honestly doesn't even feel like a win but hey, we did it. Aria: The announcements said winners need to head back to the main room. Shouta: I'm still really fatigued but okay. *yawns* (In the meeting room) Announcer woman: Hello Hero League winners! Congratulations on your win! *crowd cheers* Announcer: All 16 of you will be advancing to the finals so congratulations. Now we need to discuss what will happen next. As official Hero League members you need to discuss your teams and jersey numbers. I will go over all of the information regarding those now. 

For a quick rundown, these teams are broken up by ability. Good at fighting, defending, medical, or non-combat jobs. Of course all of our workers are skilled in combat but that's not necessarily what you have to do in the long run. I want you all to know that these teams cannot be changed. We have been watching your exam and will give you recommended teams based off your performance. You do not have to choose the team we recommend you whatsoever. It is simply a professional suggestion. Numbers can be anything you wish just to go on your jersey for non combat matches. 

Your recommendations are coming to you now. I need all of you decided by 10:00 pm tonight or you will be automatically assigned. After you are assigned we will assign your team houses. Now, the dorms are all throughout Tokyo to avoid suspicion. If you live outside the city you will have to permanently move here. Without any further information, congratulations, and I'm so sorry for springing up all of that on you just now. I will leave you the rest of the day to process it. Good luck our new heroes. *smiles* 

(Outside the building) Shouta: So these papers say what we got recommended. I got a couple on mine. How about you guys? Aria: I only got 1. Haise: I got 1- Daichi: Hey you guys. Soohyun: Oh hello. Daichi: Uhm, I know this isn't the best time with all that just happened. But I just uhm want to say thank you. Y'know, for helping me live my dream haha. Haise: Well I guess bullies still have stories too. Just work on it man. Daichi: I will, and thank you, really. I couldn't do this without you. Kaito's gonna be so happy when I call him. (he runs off) 

Aria: So anyways, what should we do about these recommendations? Mina: Well, I know we did this together. And we made it together. But I promise whatever you all choose we will still be together. In our hearts and in our souls. So please, do me a favor, all of you. Do what makes you happy. Shouta: Ari, a word when we get back to the hotel please. Aria: You got it. 

(Back at the hotel)

Aria: Okay what did you want to talk to me about? Shouta: I know this is weird, we aren't typical to have sibling heart to hearts like this, but I really feel like this was needed. I want no outside influence either so that's why I wanted this just us. So, what I wanted to discuss is uhm. I ended up getting Team Snakes for my recommendation. Its the lower end of the offensive line. An offensive team but not as strong as Team Gems. Just extra support for Gems essentially. I already know judging by me getting wiped out pretty quickly that you got something way better and different. Aria: yea actually I did. I only got Team Gems. It says its the strongest fighters in the League. The toughest and strongest lines of offense. Shouta: Figured. I don't know what we should do from here. I want us to be in this together, brother and sister. But I know I can't handle Gems and I know you shouldn't stoop down after getting so high. Aria: Yea I know, I just wanted this together too. Shouta: Hey Ari, listen to me. It may be tough to go separate directions, as a over-protective brother I know I need to let you have your life. Please Aria. Go be happy. Go live your life and go live your dreams. On the battlefield and off, I will always be supporting you. It was you who helped get us here. You were the one who brought me back to the home base. You made the plan that got us to victory Ari. It was all you. You deserve that spot. (he tears up) Aria: Sho- Shouta: No Ari, please don't object. Please don't lower yourself for me. You deserve that spot. And please Aria. As your brother I want you to go live your dreams. And as much as I don't care for the guy too much please go be happy with Haise. Aria: Huh?! Shouta: Oh c'mon its obvious you like him back. I beg of you. Just go be happy. *A tear drops* My little sister isn't so little anymore. Aria: *tears up* O-okay but no matter what, we may be on separate teams, but emotionally we will always be together right? Shouta: Of course. Go join Gems okay? Aria: I will. *Hugs Shouta* 

(Door creaks open) Haise: Aria. Could I have a word with you?
