"Your majesty, the princess Elizabeth"

Henry sighed as he watched Elizabeth enter and bow her head "Your majesty"

"Sister what is it"

"It's been almost a week since we last spoke"

"Mhm, I've been busy Elizabeth"

"I wish to apologise" Elizabeth whispered "I just wanted to know where mary was and to make sure you didn't wed me of to some old fat lord or king"

"It is your duty"

"Ive only just returned and I find out that you had remarried"

"Anne bares my son and she is your Queen"

"There is no way to truly know that she is carrying a son"

"Elizabeth did you not come here to apologise to me"

"Yes yes I did"

"Then apologise sister"

"Sorry"

"You may go now, I'm busy"

"May I at least know If Mary is safe"

She hears Henry sighs again but this time he speaks "The Lady Mary is safe and she is no longer any of your concern. Do you understand Elizabeth"

"Yes brother"

************************************

Elizabeth had walked through most of the castle, trying to come up with a way to find out where her niece was. He could hardly remember much of Mary, but the two were very close in age and Elizabeth knew how being away from her family felt like.

She just wanted to see her niece and then tell her about her mother. But there were two problems with that, she had no idea where Mary was and the Boleyn's had taken control of England.

She kept walking around the English castle. The ladys and lord bowing their heads as she passed, at least there were still some among the court who saw her as one of the Tudors.

Elizabeth stopped to take a minute to look out into the courtyard. Her eyes landed on the man walking through it, Charles Brandon and thats when she finally knew how to find her niece.

Almost immediately she found herself rushing down the stairs and towards the courtyard. In hope she got there before her brother's friend left.

If anyone knew the whereabouts of Mary it would be him, she knew he had seen the dowager princess a few times. So he could have seen her niece and if not her brother would have at least told him where she was.

As she entered the courtyard her pace didn't slow down, she was acting unlady like but she could hardly care as she finally caught up to the man "Charles"

She could hear the duke let out a groan as he turned around and bows his head. He at least knew he had to greet the princess by her title "Princess"

"Charles, may we talk?" She asked as some lords who walked past looked at the two.

"Princess Im on my way to s-

"I was not asking, your grace"

Charles sighed as he nodded and she pulled him to the side "Speak quick princess"

"You've seen Catherine since my brother's new marriage to the boleyn lady" She stated not even letting him deny it.

"What of the dowager princess"

"It's more about my niece"

Charles shakes his head as he goes to walk away. But before she steps in front of him blocking his path "Elizabeth"

She looks up at him "I'm not moving"

"Fine go ahead ask what you wish"

"Where is she"

"You know I cannot say"

"So you know where she is" She pauses "Charles tell me where she is"

"The king will not be happy if he finds out that you've gone to Hatfield alone"

She can't help but smile lightly as she backs away "Marys at Hatfield"

He nods as he watches her walk off, but before he can decide to go see the king he finds himself following after the Tudor princess. Knowing that if she were to go alone to Hatfield the king would have his head.

"Elizabeth, you cannot leave the castle alone"

"Then come, your grace" She muttered.

************************************

Charles had no idea why he had followed the young princess to Hatfield. But then again at least she was not alone. Although he knew the minute Elizabeth found out that Charles had a guard tell the king where they went, well he knew she would either hit him or worse.

He couldn't go behind his king and best friends back. So he had to make sure Henry knew where he and his sister had gone. Although Henry didn't need to know that it was Charles who had told Elizabeth where Mary was.

Charles trailed behind Elizabeth as she entered Hatfield not waiting to ask any of the maids or guards where her niece was.

Instead the princess walked through most of the house.

"Elizabeth let me fetch someone" Charles stated as Elizabeth stopped once and once only.

"No need We only have one room left"

Charles held back a groan as he followed Elizabeth into a room that seemed more like a library.

He stopped as he heard Elizabeth's soft voice greet someone "Mary"

He stayed back as he watched the aunt and niece hug one another.

In that minute he knew Elizabeth wouldn't just turn away and it was to late to try make the princess leave.

An - I adore Elizabeth and Charles so much
