12 NOON: GOVERNOR JOHN's OFFICE

Governor John, Scarlett's father had invited Loi Ja over to his office. His office is sophisticatedly decorated, matter of fact, his office is akin to a palace, presidential suite, grand, spacious, gracious, with lovely scents coming from the air conditioners and air fresheners. Able bodied men, also known as bodyguards are all around his office, standing at alert.

Governor John is a pot bellied, short, grey haired elderly man in his 60s dressed in black trousers, black tuxedo and a blue shirt. He's a 5.5fts tall man.

Loi Ja enters with three of her junior officers, Dandre, Manny and Juliet. The four of them all stand until Loi Ja is offered a seat by Governor John.

LOI JA: (From outside) May we come in Sir?

Two of John's men had put out their hands to cross and to stop them

G. JOHN: Are you out of your minds? Don't you know who they are? Let them in

The men stand down and usher them in. John brings out a radiant smile showing out his yellow teeth

G. JOHN: Welcome, welcome, welcome

John holds out his hands wide with a radiant smile to usher in his invited guests. Loi Ja and her officers salute John

G. JOHN: Please, please. It's alright.

He scrutinizes the officers and fixes his gaze on Loi Ja

G. JOHN: You must be Loi Ja.

Loi Ja gives an extremely hard to read expression on her frowning face. Her silence assures John

G. JOHN: Please, Seat

Loi Ja seats facing John as he seats on his desk chair. The duo seat opposite each other. Dandre stands beside Loi Ja, facing John while Manny and Juliet stand behind Loi Ja facing the door by backing John and Loi Ja

G. JOHN: Coffee?

LOI JA: You called for me, Sir

G. JOHN: (Chuckles) I was told.... I was informed you're a straight to business officer.

LOI JA: Your informant told you right, Sir

G. JOHN: (Stutters) You see... Every university has its ups and downs... Every human have their disadvantages

LOI JA: I don't quite follow Sir.

G. JOHN: What I mean to say is

Sweat rolls down from John's forehead to his chin

LOI JA: (Looks round) The air conditioner is on, Infact it's as cold as ice, why then are you sweating, your excellency, Sir?

G. JOHN: (Nervously) Oh. Yes... Yes... It is

He takes out an handkerchief and wipes his sweat nervously.

G. JOHN: As I was saying was. A case recently happened in one of Seronski's Universities.
