While Maanvi was helping Siya put on bangles, she said, "Say what you want, but something feels really off to me. If he loves you so much, why couldn't he wait until you turned 20? You just turned 18 yesterday, and he's already marrying you today. Honestly, I feel like he's marrying you just for your property and money."Siya playfully hit Maanvi on the head and replied, "You're talking like one of those mother-in-laws from TV dramas! You know, after Mom and Dad passed away, it was only him and his mother who took care of me. If they wanted my property, they could've taken it long ago. Besides, he's one of the top 10 businessmen in the world, not just India. Why would he want my small company? He wants to marry me because he wants to protect me. Otherwise, Mom and Dad's enemies will kill me just like they killed my brother when we were kids."
Maanvi made a face and said, "Fine, no need to praise him so much. I get what you're trying to say."
Siya kissed her cheek affectionately and said, "Oh, so my sweet little Maanvi understands now? When did you get so wise?"
Maanvi brushed Siya's hands away from her cheeks and said, "Stop joking around and let's go to the wedding, or we'll be late."
Just as they were about to leave, Siya suddenly said, "Oh, shit! How could I forget something so important?"
Maanvi turned to her and asked, "What now? What did you forget?"
Pouting like a child, Siya replied, "Mom told me that when I get married, I should wear her anklet on my feet. But I forgot it. Can you please go to my old mansion and bring it for me? I'd go myself, but you know Daksh doesn't like it when I go to that house because he thinks it makes me sad."
Seeing Siya's sad face, Maanvi said, "Okay, I'll go."
Siya then took out a large set of keys from her bag and handed them to Maanvi, saying, "These are the keys to my mom and dad's bedroom. The main door will be opened by the bodyguard uncle standing there."
Agreeing, Maanvi took the keys.
A little while later...
Maanvi drove her car to a large mansion and stopped in front of it. The mansion was enormous, almost like a royal palace.
Stepping out of the car, Maanvi looked around and saw a guard who looked more like a bodyguard. She approached him and said, "I'm Siya's friend, and I need to pick up something. Can you please open the main gate?"
The man looked Maanvi up and down before opening the gate. Without wasting any time, Maanvi went inside, but she felt uncomfortable under the bodyguard's gaze.
As soon as she entered, the man made a phone call and said, "Sir, a girl has arrived here. What should we do?"
After a moment of silence, the person on the other end hung up, and the man gestured to another bodyguard, who immediately left.
Inside the mansion...
Maanvi was unsure which room belonged to Siya's parents, so she tried calling Siya for help, but the call didn't go through.
Frustrated, Maanvi decided to check every room. As she moved from room to room, she eventually entered a dark one.
Unable to see anything due to the darkness, she reached for the switch to turn on the light. When the light came on, she saw many antique pieces, and her eyes fell on a round-shaped box. She thought it might contain Siya's mom's anklet.
Thinking this, she opened the round box to check, but as soon as she saw what was inside, her hands began to tremble, and the box slipped from her hands.
Before the box could hit the ground, someone suddenly appeared and caught it, then stared at Maanvi in a strange way.
Half an hour later...
Maanvi was tied to a chair in a dark room, and a man dressed entirely in black stood in front of her, holding a large knife.
He began circling her, playing with the knife, and said, "You shouldn't have gone there. By doing so, you've invited your own death. Do you even realize how much Siya worships you? Whether she's happy or sad, she always shares everything with you first.
She tells you everything about her life, even more than she tells me. But now, look-I'll have to kill the one person who makes her the happiest. To
day, you will be buried with my secrets."
Without fear, Maanvi responded, "You deceived her so badly, told so many lies."
Daksh laughed and said, "Everything is fair in love and war, and I love her like a madman. Think about it-if she finds out the truth, her love for me will die, right?"
Crying, Maanvi pleaded, "You've taken everything from her, but please, at least leave her alone. She's done nothing wrong."
"You're right; I've taken everything from her, but she's still left, isn't she? And besides, you know too much now, so the consequence is that you will die today," Daksh said, pressing the knife against Maanvi's neck.
With hatred in her voice, Maanvi said, "I know you're going to kill me, but you know what they say-whatever a dying person says is true. And today, I'm telling you, no matter how hard you try, you'll never have her. Just wait and see-someone will come into her life and take her far away from you."
Before she could say anything more, Daksh, enraged, plunged the knife through her neck.
Maanvi died instantly. Daksh then placed her head on his lap and said, "You shouldn't have said such things. Now look, you're dead. You said someone would take her away from me? Now just watch how I trap her. I won't let even her shadow fall on anyone else. She belongs to me alone; God made her just for me, so how could she leave me?"
