||~Annabeth~||
I stand behind Apollo, watching him cast a yellow glow around Percy's convulsing body."I can feel something is wrong, but I can't see what it is," Apollo explains to us, standing up now.
I frown, "So why is he convulsing!?" I'm very tempted to strangle the God.
Apollo shrugs, "I don't know, alright? I want to help, really, I do. But whatever is wrong with Percy is something old, something very powerful, something not even I, the great Apollo, can heal."
Hazel looks at me, "What if it is Ouranos?"
Percy suddenly wakes up with a start, gasping and yelling; "Annabeth!?"
I jolt, then look down at him. "Percy? Hey, hey, calm down." I sit in front of him, holding his face in my hands, "I'm here, okay? Shh, shh, it's okay." He holds me tightly, shaking.
"I -- Fuck, I don't--" He's hardly coherent, and I hug him, "It's okay, just breathe, alright? You don't have to talk right now," I tell him.
He looks at me, sea-green eyes filling with tears. "W- Where's my mom?" I look at him, "She's at the apartment, waiting for you."
"Paul?"
"Safe with her."
"Estelle?"
"Safe with both of them."
"W- What about Tyson?"
"He's safe too, Percy. We all are." I hesitate for a moment before asking; "Why did you pass out?" I gently ask.
"Ouranos showed me images of the future. Annabeth, it isn't good," He breaks down, holding me tighter then ever before as he sucks in a ragged breath, "He showed me everyone's deaths. It was my fault, Annabeth. You died. I- I killed you. I'm going to kill you in the future, I-" He lets me go suddenly, pushing himself off of me and standing up, arms wrapped around himself.
"I- I'm going to kill you!" He backs away until he hits the Doors of Death, I stand. "Percy, no. I know you won't. Ouranos is tricking you, okay? He's playing mind games with you. Just calm down, alright? Let's be reasonable."
Percy shakes his head, "What if he isn't though? What if it's real? What if I actually fucking kill you? All of you!?" His hands fly to his hair, tugging hard.
Suddenly, he laughs. It's wet, and I hear the pain in his voice. "I wouldn't be a danger to any of you, to the world, if I-" He looks at the Doors of Death, "Maybe Akhlys was right. Maybe I do belong in Tartarus."
"Perseus Achilles Jackson, shut up!" I yell. He looks at me, eyes wide. I've never used his full name before. "You do not belong in Tartarus. You will not kill me. You will not kill us." I take his hand, squeezing it. "You're just a kid, Percy. We all are. And- And I know you may not feel like your good, but you are. You -- Gods -- you saved the world twice. You beat Kronos. You beat Gaea. You faced Tartarus, and now you are facing Ouranos. I know you, Percy. Please," I take his other hand in my free one, now holding both of them.
"Fight him. I know you're tired of fighting. I am too, but after Ouranos is defeated, we can finally relax together. Soon, we can go to college together. Okay? Remember the dreams you have for us? About going to that Roman college together? About either living at Camp Half Blood or living in a big house? In the future, we could have kids --" My voice breaks slightly. Light rain drizzles, but I don't say anything about it as I continue speaking. "Kids, Percy. We could have kids. We can live in peace together. You could be a Marine Biologist or - or own a blue-food bakery. Maybe both, since I know you can't choose between the two."
He looks down at me, shoulders sagging. The rain pours harder.
"I'm so tired, Annabeth. I'm just so tired," He sobs out. It's hard to see even five feet away now with how hard the rain is falling.
"I know. So am I, Percy. So am I." I pull him into a hug, dropping to my knees. "But please, I can't be without you anymore. I love you so much... there are other ways to deal with this. I'm here for you."
Tyson comes out of the crowd of demigods surrounding us, and he sits beside Percy. He hugs both of us too.
"If you break, I'll be there to piece you together like you've done for me so many times," I whisper to him, kissing his forehead. He lets out a strangled sob, keeping me close to him while Tyson whimpers.
"I'm here for brother, always here for brother," He pats Percy's back, "Do you want peanut butter?"Percy looks up at him, letting out a wet laugh as his lips curve into a small smile.
"Sure big guy, I'll have some peanut butter."
