Descendants: The First Proclamation

History of the Uniting Kingdoms (Part 3)

The 2 ships arrived back in Auradon looking like a shipwreck. Upon being docked, people all around looked in shock and horror.

"I thought I told you to not come back unless Elsa was in chains!" Adam yelled at his General "And where is General Pound, I must speak with him." he added "General Pound is dead, ", General Young spoke up, "Crushed by a boulder!" he yelled back. Adam, angered by the outburst began to speak "How dare you-" he was interrupted "How dare I? No! How dare you!", General Young yelled. "Were you even aware that the spirits of the world evolved?!" Adam looked unbothered at the moment "They evolved your majesty. The tiny little fire spirit can turn into a dragon, the earth spirits can shrink and grow in size, the water spirit can change into a giant shire horse creating waves bigger than the highest mountain, and the wind spirit can create wind over 150mph!" He yelled, "You sent us in blind! I lost over a thousand men!" he added. "She said, 'The next time you attack, she will make sure the Spirits will not be kind. You will have no water, fire, or winds in your sails, constant earthquakes forcing your Majesty to abandon his throne, leaving behind everything you ever worked for.', She means war." he said. Adam, stunned by this new information, sat in his chair thinking.

As he thought to himself long and hard. He wanted Elsa sent to the Isle and would stop at nothing to make that happen. He figured that he'd had the ask King Eric and Queen Snow White to use their army as they were the first to join the unity. He would also issue a nationwide arrest for The Queen of Ice. As he thought more about his plan, General Keep, who was sent to arrest Mother Gothel and to convince the Queen of Corona to join the unity. (So far almost every single kingdom agreed except for Wonderland and now, Arendelle.) Adam, seeing as General Keep returned, he got up from his chair and walked towards him.

"Tell me you have good news?",Adam questioned "Your Majesty,",he said as he bowed his head "I am delighted to inform you that Mother Gothel has been arrested and is being sent to the Isle as we speak." Keep added, Adam, unable to read his expression, asked "And Corona? Will they be joining the unity?", "No, sir.", he responded. "No? What do you mean no?" Adam said as his face fell. Keep responded with "She said that she heard rumors of how aggressive you have been collecting and arresting villains and she doesn't want to be a part of that. She gave me a letter to give to you, your eyes only." he finished handing the latter to the King.

Adam took the letter that was seal with the crest of Corona in wax, He stared at it for moment before finally opening it, the letter said:

To the King of Auradon, I, Rapunzel, Queen of Corona have decided not to join the unity. I have heard the amount of force you use in order to capture a villain. Taking villages hostage, burning villages, attacking while unprovoked. I don't want to join a King who allows that. The main reason however, is the fact that you attack my cousins without warning. I've heard what your men have done to the Northuldra people and their village. Therefore I have decided to remain allied with my cousin's Kingdom and will not hesitate to support them if there ever is a war.

Adam, angered by the refusal, crumbled up the letter and sat down in his chair with defeat.

"How could she have known about what happened in Arendelle, it hasn't even been a week. It takes about 4 weeks to get to Corona from Arendelle, and we left 3 weeks in advance because it takes 2 and half weeks longer from here. How? How?!" he yelled at himself. "The wind" General Young chimed in, Adam gave him a confused look. "They must have sent a letter in the wind, nothing travels faster than the wind itself," he added. Adam sighed in defeat, "If they want a war, we'll give them a war. We'll discuss this later, for now, leave me." he ordered them away. They both bowed their heads and left.

Adam was left alone in the throne room thinking heavily to himself. He sighed, got up and left for his chambers. Upon entry he sees his wife, sitting by the fireplace reading a book. He smiles to himself.

"How did it go?" she asked, finally looking up from her book. "Not good, not only have I lost Wonderland but now Arendelle and Corona." he replied walking towards "I don't know what to do at this point. The failed captures of the Red Queen and The Queen of Ice will spread around the kingdoms as well as Corona refusing to join. War is on the table for them." he added "What are our options?" Belle questioned "1, we offer them peace and independence for the peaceful surrender of both Iracebeth and Elsa. 2, we issue a nationwide arrest warrant for The Red Queen and The Queen of Ice if they ever step foot in Auradon, possibly starting a war. Or 3, we create a treaty." Adam explained "Well you know what's best for our kingdom and our future, so go with what seems right." She said Adam, touched by his wife's support, knelt down in front of her "What am I going to do without you?" he said with a smile "And how is our future king or queen doing?" he added, placing a hand on her belly "Two kicks today" she replied

A loving moment between the two, the first in a long time. Adam had been busy uniting the kingdom and gathering the villains and sending them to The Isle of the Lost. Belle was supportive and right by his side until she fell pregnant. She was still supportive from the sidelines which made Adam determined to complete the unity. This loving moment however wouldn't last long

"Your Majesty!" Cogsworth yelled, bursting through the chamber's doors. "What is it?" Adam asks with concern. Cogsworth handled business overseas, "I've just received word that Wonderland have become allies with Arendelle and Corona and are preparing battle plans as we speak." Cogsworth informed them.

Adam knew that it wouldn't be long before the 3 kingdoms would join forces however, he thought he had more time. Refusing to back down, The following morning Adam issued a nationwide arrest for The Red Queen and The Queen of Ice, however it only applies if they were to ever to step foot in the United States of Auradon. Adam then declared war on Arendelle and Wonderland for refusing to surrender Elsa and Iracebeth. Unfortunately, this means he would also be at war with Corona given that fact that they were now allies with Arendelle and Wonderland.

Snow White's Kingdom bordered the entrance to Wonderland. So, Adam sent some of his troops to help out in charging Wonderland. Adam reached out to Cinderella, telling her to send troops to Corona as a precaution not knowing if she was going to attack him. Then, he reached out to Merida telling her to send troops to Arendelle since her Kingdom was close in distance. Unaware to Adam though, the 3 kingdoms were 2 steps ahead of him and were prepared for the troops' arrival. This war would go down in history as "The 2 Weeks War"
