Wedding day

Engfah's pov

"Do you know that yuki and becky know the person you're going to marry"freen excitedly said

"Why are you so exited is it my wedding or your"i said

"Oh come on can't you just show some excitement"noey said as he forced my lips to smile

"Let's just wait till she turns into a soft wife" freen said mocking me

"Oh come on now smile a bit"noey stated

The ceremony started becky yuki came as they helped the girl walk to the stairs and then her father walked her down the aisle

I don't even know her name what am I supposed to do

As they walked down I held her hand

"Let's start the ceremony"the priest said as the guests clapped

"Miss Charlotte Austin are you willing to marry miss engfah waraha"the priest asked

"I-i do"she said

"Miss engfah waraha are you willing to marry charlotte Austin"

"You may exchange the rings"the priest as we exchanged rings

After the ceremony

"Oh finally she's married now i can breathe properly"noey said drinking the wine in his hand

"Why is that"freen asked

"You don't know freen because of this girl my work doubles like she visits hospital like it's her home comes whenever she wants and goes whenever she wants i can't deal with this girl anymore"noey said his voice sounding annoyed

"Well if you have problems just resign"i said

"Oh mam don't think i want all this being a doctor is my passion that's why I'm here helping those dumb heads"noey said chugging some more wine

"Fine don't fight here it's our friends wedding let's be happy"freen said

"Yeah yeah"noey answered

After some time we both went home the ride was silent

We reached home

"Upstairs to the right is your room"i said in cold tone

She didn't say anything and just went there I took off my blazer before going to my study room

I sat down opening my laptop to work

At midnight

I finished working so I went to my room to sleep but found charlotte sleeping on it

"It's my room isn't it"i asked myself and then laid down back facing her

Next morning

Charlotte's pov

I woke up but didn't see her so I went downstairs and saw her working on the couch

Such a workaholic

I thought to myself before going to make breakfast

"Yesterday you slept in my room"she said her cold voice sent shiver down my spine she turned to me her cold gaze killing me

"I'm sorry"i said

"Fine"she said once more before turning her head to work

I cooked the breakfast

"Have you eaten"i said she shook her head

"I have cooked breakfast you can eat now"

"I'm not hungry right now" she said I just nodded and served my food

The bell rang she got up to answer it

"What are you doing here" she said

"Oh come on stop being all grumpy can't you smile like us" i heard a voice

Engfah's pov

I went to see who's that

As she said that

"Now tell me what do you want"i asked once more

"We just want to visit you can't we"

"Whatever"i said going to the couch while the two followed me

"This are my friends their names ar-"

"My name is freen and her name is noey"freen cut me off

"Nice to meet you"she said

"Nice to meet you too"noey stated

I did my work while they talked her

"Ok engfah we're going"noey said as they left

Charlotte went to her room while I went to the kitchen as i grabbed the breakfast serving myself

Eating the food i cleaned the dishes as I went to my study room

"The food was not that bad"i said to myself as I started working

After a while

I checked the time it was 8pm

So I went downstairs but the dinner was not ready i went to her room she was crying while holding her stomach tightly curling up to a ball

"What happened" i said moving closer

"No-nothing"she said

"Am i dumb just tell me the reason"

"Cramps" she said as i nodded in understanding

"Did you take painkillers" she nodded

I went downstairs and filled a hot bag i went back

I put the bag on her abdomen i laid beside her and pulled her closer massaging her abdomen with my warm hands

"It's better than taking pain killers"i said as I felt her body relax

Charlotte's pov

I flinched when she pulled me closer her warm hands started massaging my abdomen as i relaxed
