[10] Secrets We Share

I didn't want to see her. I didn't want to talk to her. I can't even look at her, without remembering how she tasted, and felt. But I missed her, but I knew if I seen her, I would just hurt. "Ugh" I groaned, turning in my bed, wondering what's going on with me. She's my best friend! I promised her this wouldn't ruin us. But I've never felt this way before. I don't even know what it is. I then heard a knock on my door. "Come in" I say, then my mom came in. "Hunny are you okay, you haven't been acting like yourself lately" mom says, I sighed, not thinking she would notice a change in my behavior.

"I'm fine" i claimed, staring at the ceiling. "Is it because of Savannah?" She questioned, cautiously, causing me to jerk into a sitting position. "Why- why would you think that?" I ask, flustered, causing her to slightly laugh. "She hasn't been around lately, and you two are inseparable" she states, causing me to sigh. "What happened?" She questions, causing me to look at her. "I don't know" I claimed, as she folded her lips. "I- I think I fell for her. But I'm unsure" I tell her, watching her sigh. "Sweetheart, do you think you're in love with Savannah?" She asks, causing my eyes to go wide. Am I? I know I liked kissing her, and touching her, but am I really in love with her? I don't even know how that feels.

"Mom, I- I don't know. I don't know what that feels like" i state, she softly smiled. "You are. I can see it in your eyes. You love her" mom states, smiling, caressing my face. I inhaled, knowing she's right. I'm in love with Savannah! "Are you gonna tell her?" She questions, causing my facial expressions to drop. "I was a jerk to her, last time I saw her" I admitted, hoping I didn't hurt her. "Plus, she probably doesn't feel the same way" i state, sighing. "You won't know until you tell her" mom says, getting up and heading towards the door. "She's right" I mumbled, getting up.

I went downstairs, seeing my parents beginning to leave. It was their anniversary, so they've going out to eat. "Leftovers in the fridge" mom says, grabbing her jacket, as dad grabbed the keys. "We'll be back in the morning" dad states, as they exited. They staying in a hotel suite for the night, so I'm here alone. I should call Savannah, or go to her house. I thought as I grabbed my jacket, and keys. Then headed towards the door. I opened it and my eyes immediately widened.

As I see Savannah, beginning to knock. "Sav?" I say, confused but happy she's here. Seeing her, made me just wanna kiss her, and take her upstairs, but I refrained myself. "Hi" she mumbles with her angelic voice. The sound that I love so much. I let her in and we stood there in silence for a bit. "I'm sorry" she says, looking down. "I'm sorry, for assuming you wanted to do whatever with whoever else. I'm sorry if I hurt you" she tells me, her voice sounding fragile. I didn't like seeing her this way. "It's okay, I promise" i replied, gently and genuinely, causing her to look up at me with her.

I smiled looking into her luminous, ruby red eyes. "I love you" I tell her, serious, as she half smiled. "I love you too. You know that" she replied, causing me to sigh. She said it in a way...... that wasn't the same as mine. I looked at the ground. As the room filled with an awkward silence. "I should go" she says, beginning to leave. Opening the door revealing falling rain. I stood there in silence, wanting to stop her, and kiss her. But I already told her that I love her. Yes, she said the same back, but not in the way I did. My door closed, and she didn't even care that it was pouring out. I'm in love with my best friend. "I have to tell her again. Even if I already said it" i state, quickly leaving.
