Lucas was kept in a cell and handcuffed to the table whenever he got interrogated. So far that had happened at least dozen times in the past five hours. He hated how everyone stared at him like he was a child abuser. No matter what he said his words all fell on deaf ears. It was like he was back  to being seventeen after he got into that car crash with Jesse. Everyone hated him for being alive and he was helpless as no one would listen. The officer locked him up the second he heard the familiar sound of Deanna's high heels. He had no idea how she had managed to find him in only two days. Yet he didn't care as he he cared about was Rosie.

Deanna sat in the lobby waiting for the police to throw Lucas in prison. When he saw her he glared in anger.
"Hey honey so you're telling me, I'm the bad guy?" She asked with mock surprise. His brown eyes narrowed and he adjusted his glasses with a firm nod. Of course she would stick her fingers in deeper.
"Officer you have to let me see Rosie! I don't care what you think of me but I need to know where she is!" He screamed.
"As of right now the court has yet to make a decision on your visitation rights." The officer responded. Lucas gave Deanna a look of anger but no words left his mouth. If he said anything or did anything bad, she would win.

"Oh we don't even talk about that now officer can you please give us a minute I need a minute with my husband." Deanna responded. She made herself comfortable and sat across from him in that black tight dress.
"Ex husband." Lucas confirmed.
The words left his mouth before he could think, but it was worth it. The look of shock on Deanna's face made him feel like he had more power. It was brief as once the officer reluctantly left him alone he felt helpless again. Her mere gray eyes full of malice made him cower a bit. Yet his only concern was Rosie so he just glared at her.
"I must say I'm almost impressed you put up of more of fight then I've ever seen. But you are in for a rude awakening my dear." She said.

"What is it you want from me?" He asked. It seemed that she was enjoyed how anger he was. He wanted to yell at her or push her against the wall. She made a face at him like she sensed what he was thinking.
"I want you to come home you've haven't been answering my texts." Deanna said.
"Of course I've been ignoring you and in case you haven't noticed I don't want to be married to you anymore." He responded. There was a firm tone in his voice that he had hardly used on her. She made another face as she fought off bursting in public.
"I know your angry at me Lucas but I'm doing you a favor and we did have a deal." She reminded him. He grunted at her when she tapped his hand in a sympathetic gesture.

"You can't use your sweet voice on me here not around other people. Now where's my daughter. " He demanded through clenched teeth. Deanna laughed a bit and patted him again as she used a plastic smile.
"Awe your cute thinking you can act all tough inside here when your little brat is in danger." She mocked. Lucas snapped his hand away from her and slapped his hands on the table. This action didn't phase Deanna but she looked at him with  amusement. Though there was something else on her face that Lucas couldn't read.
"That brat is my daughter and don't think you can ever treat her the way you treated me as soon as I get out here I am going to take her far away from you." He declared.

Deanna blinked at him and flicked her long blonde hair. Something in her face made him wonder if she was planning something big.
"How are you going to do it when you're in here from now on I'm going to be taking good care of her she's a sea creature Lucas a siren not a person." She responded. Her tone was the one she used to make him stand down when she got angry. He stiffened and tried to get up but was held back by the handcuffs.
"I won't let you..." He began.
"You can't prevent me from doing anything with that small brain of yours. Besides you can't take care of Rosie." She interrupted sharply.

"I have been taking care of her since I found her and there's nothing you can do to change that." Lucas spat. He felt like ropes had been tightened and lossened when he heard his own voice. It was something he had been wanting to do ever since they first met. Now that he thought about it that memory he had of them meeting seemed off. Why did her claim of being Jesse's cousin throw him off and why did she seem familiar even then. The shock on Deanna's face brought him out of his thoughts when he seemed to be thinking about something. Her normally demeanor returned and it was worse then the eyes of a snake.
