"Coop I can't pick what dress" Cassie told her best friend holding up one red dress and a black dress in the other had. "Wear the black, and do something different with your hair" She responded back."Your dress looks nice mom," Marissa said as they walked down the stairs. "Aw thank you Marissa, wait I thought we decide to keep your hair down, it doesn't match your face shape." Julie Cooper responded. "I think it looks good how it is," Cassie responded backing up her friend. That comment earned a glare from Julie before Jimmy came into the room. "Everyone ready? Let's go." he said tossing the keys into his hand.
The Coopers and Cassie Birlem walked into the party as pairs with Marissas sister following behind the older girls. Cassie grabbed Marissa's arm and walked away from the group. The girls went over to some of their friends from the previous school year to catch up.
"Who is that?" Cassie asked as Seth Cohen and the new guy looked over at them. "I don't know. The Cohens pool guy or something?" Marissa replied to her bestfriend with a laugh. "Well I'm going to find out." She said with a smile and in a determined tone.
"Oh my god Cassie, Mr. Cohen is pointing over at you, maybe it's about the new kid." One of their friends said. "Wait never mind they walked off" she added on to her comment. The group of girls laughed and walked to the changing rooms to get ready for the fashion show.
Cassie went into her room that had a sign hanging on the door, 'Cassidy Birlem'. She sighed and looked at Marissa, "How many times do I have to tell them that it's not Cassidy literally no one has ever called me that." The girls best friend laughed at her annoyance and both went into the fitting rooms to change.
"Thank you! Thank you! Thank you so much for coming, every year we put on a fashion show to raise money for the battered women's shelter. It's such a good cause you guys and we couldn't do any of it without your support and the support of Fashion Island and all their great stores. Alright enjoy the show!" Marissa finished off her speech which meant Cassie was about to walk the runway.
She gave Cassie a quick side hug and the girls looked at each other in awe before Cassie Birlem walked the stage. Cassie was made to be a model, her poses were always so flawless and she was just beyond beautiful. She walked down the runway with her heels hitting the floor every step. She got plenty of loud cheers and definitely deserved them. She turned around once she hit the end of the stage and walked back to the start, obvisouly doing one final pose before going off stage.
While everyone was focused on the fashion show Cassie took the chance to steal two glasses of champagne for her and her best friend. "Look what I just stole" She held up the two drinks and smiling proudly. "Look what I just stole" Marissa said getting a bottle out of her bag showing Cassie before putting it back. "Alright!" Birlem shouted before giving Marissa a glass and both of them cheering and then taking a drink of it.
"Are you going to Holly's party Coop?" Cassie asked. "I don't know Cassie Im exhausted" Marissa answered with an unsure tone. "Come on! You have to!" She told her friend as they got changed. "I'll see if Lukes going" She smiled at her friend before walking off.
The brunette girl was walking to the parking lot to get a ride from her friends to the party before she noticed the new guy walking out. "Hey!" she smiled at him and he gave her a small smile back. "Where are you going? My friend Holly, well her parents are letting us use her beach house as a present for well all of our hard work. So she's having a party if you need a ride or anything I'm Cassie." She spilled out giving him a smile and then walking away.
