Chapter Five
TW – SA (a mild, short scene. Shouldn't be triggering. Just thought I'd add the warning anyway)
"Vic, you know Andy is good at hiding her emotions, sometimes better than others but nonetheless, she's good at it."
Vic just nodded. "Well, I should get to stocking and cleaning the aid car." Vic didn't wait for anyone to say anything and just walked into the barn and to the air car. She got into the back and closed the doors, sighing, happy to be away from everyone. Holy fuck was that eventful. Vic breathed out. Hope Andy is going to be okay alone at her apartment. Vic thought, concerned that Andy would get caught up in her thoughts and that they'd turn bad. Fuck. Maybe I should've gone home with her.
When Andy got home she got changed and then jumped into bed, figuring if she did anything else she would get trapped in her thoughts.
Hours later when she felt the bed dip, she rolled over and cuddled into Vic, smiling, thankful that Vic was home with her.
"Hey, baby," Vic said, kissing Andy's forehead. "How are you doing?"
"I'm exhausted."
"Physically or mentally?" Vic asked, grabbing one of Andy's hands.
Vic smiled when Andy let out a laugh. "Both," Andy admitted. "I'm better now though. You always make me feel better." Andy told Vic and kissed her. "So tomorrow before shift I'm going to station 23 to pick up what's in my locker and then I'll go to 19."
Vic frowns. "Do you have to? Can't Theo just grab your things?" Vic was concerned about what going back to station 23 so soon would do to her girlfriend. "Look, Andy, please don't go back so soon."
Andy sits up and pulls Vic up with her. "I know you're worried. I am too. But I'll try to be in and out as soon as possible, okay?"
Vic sighed but nodded, slid down and wrapped an arm over Andy's stomach.

It was the next day when Andy got ready to go pick up her things from station 23.
"Andy, I still don't know if it's a good idea to go by yourself," Vic said, and Andy saw the frown growing on her face.
"Baby, I'll be okay. I'll make the quick stop over there and then be right to station 19, okay?"
Vic sighed, nodded and then pulled Andy into a hug. "hurry back, okay? Don't spend a second more than needed there."
Andy nodded, kissed Vic and then walked out the door, leaving a nervous Vic behind.

When Andy parked her car she got out and breathed in and out. She was as nervous as Vic looked this morning, but she didn't want Vic to know that. Andy took a deep breath and continued inside the familiar house.
Andy walked into the house, said a quick hello to Theo and then walked to the locker room. She was Duval and said a quick hi to her before rushing to gather all her belongings. She had just finished packing when she heard someone come in behind her. The hairs on her neck stood up. Andy turned around and saw Maddox and Barnes. Andy felt fear creeping in and turned back around to finish putting her things in her bag when Maddox came up behind her, turned her around and punched Andy in the eye.
"That's what you get for fucking tattling on us to the chief. Are you seriously so fucking pathetic that you can't handle some hazing?" Maddox asked, anger clear on his face.
"What you're doing right now is proof of why I needed to tell the chief what's been going on you fucking asshole," Andy said and when she felt a sharp pain in her stomach she bent over and when Maddox put his hands on her, pulled her closer to him and began to kiss her Andy felt tears welling up in her eyes. She couldn't believe this was happening. She was about to give in, knowing what may happen when she heard someone barge into the room.
"Hey! What the hell is going on here?" Andy heard Theo ask. Andy slid down onto the floor and curled up into a ball. Theo rushed to pull Maddox away from Andy, throwing him out of the room. Theo slowly walked over to Andy and bent down, making sure not to touch her. "Andy," Andy didn't move. "Andy, can you look at me, please?" Theo pleaded, worry growing.
Andy slowly looked up and Theo frowned at the bruise that was already forming around her right eye.
"Alright, let me take your stuff and I'll drive you to 19 and call Ross. You need to report this," Theo told Andy, leaving no room for arguing. Andy looked down and nodded. Theo grabbed her bag and led her out of the station. He looked over at Andy and saw her looking down, avoiding eye contact with everyone and sighed. He had never seen Andy look so small and scared, even when she was being hazed when she worked at 23.
Theo helped Andy into her own car, deciding he would take a cab back to 23 when he knew Andy was okay at Station 19. Theo drove in silence to Andy's house and every once and a while would look over at Andy and he would see her wipe away the occasional tear and he felt horrible for not protecting her better.
Theo drove as quickly as he could to the house Andy grew up in and sighed when he pulled into the parking lot. He parked, grabbed Andy's bags from the backseat and helped her out of the car and into the station where Vic had been waiting for Andy in reception. When Vic saw the state her girlfriend was in, anger clouded over her face.
"What the fuck happened?"
