The cyan bird sat there in her cage as her owner started cleaning the floor. Both bird and person seemed worried about something. The bird decidied to strike a conversation.
"What's wrong?"
"Oh nothing, just the meteor I heard this morning."
"There was a meteor?"
"Could be anything, Compassion. I didn't check, I'm still scared."
"Don't worry, I will check-"
At that moment a deafening crash struck. Compassion freaked out and started trying to get out of her cage. Her owner, in a panicked rush, put down her broom and unlocked the cage.
"Thank you so much, Erin. I'll check outside. I know how to contact you alright?
Erin nodded and opened the window. Compassion zoomed out and soared into the air, searching the fields and sky for anything suspicious. Peaceshire, the land was called. It didn't look so peaceful now.
At that moment the grey meteor filled sky changed into a much darker stormy sky within a fraction of a second. Compassion looked around with fear, yet she still had some confidence and decided not to call Erin.
"Hey doctor s. That bird is blocking our target. Shoot it down."
"OK fine. Here's my portal gun."
Compassion looked down and saw three people. Actually people wasn't the best way to describe them. The man who handed the woman the portal gun had slightly green skin, and the woman looked like a robot. Compassion ruffled a feather. It was only now she found out she was on top of Peaceshire's Palace.
"Haha, get back here little finch! You have no hope, your going to be dead like hundreds of other people in a bit!
Now the blue bird was worried. She couldn't contact Erin now, she was too busy trying to dodge the green bullet. Eventually it hit her, but she felt no pain. She couldn't hear anything. She could only see black.
"Yes, got her! Wait, what gun did you say this was again?"
Compassion muttered the contacting spell under her breath. Nothing. Teleporting spell. Nothing. This blackness she was seeing seemed to be moving away from her. The bird just accepted her fate, closed her eyes, and drifted down.
