The next day started like any other. Sakura was back in the kitchen, focused on perfecting yet another recipe from PeachTea's channel. The sizzle of food and the soft hum of the stove filled the dorm as the rest of Le Sserafim slowly woke up, drawn in by the delicious smell.
At the table, Eunchae was the first to take a bite, her face lighting up instantly. "Unnie, this is amazing! Even better than yesterday!" The other girls nodded in agreement, praising Sakura's cooking between bites.
"Thanks," Sakura replied, smiling. "But let's hurry up and finish. We need to head out soon."
The girls quickly finished their breakfast and grabbed their things before piling into the van. Today was another busy day, and they had an interview scheduled at a new studio.
Once they arrived at the building, they were ushered into a room filled with cameras and lights, the crew bustling around to set everything up. A middle-aged woman approached them, clipboard in hand and a welcoming smile on her face.
"Hello, girls! Thank you so much for coming in today. We're really excited to have you here."
"It's no problem at all," Chaewon said with a polite smile. "We're happy to be here."
The woman explained the format of the interview: it was a casual setup where they would be asked a few questions while enjoying snacks. The mention of snacks made Eunchae's eyes sparkle, and she bounced on her heels in excitement. Yunjin chuckled, patting her head affectionately.
As the interview progressed, the girls answered questions with their usual mix of humor and sincerity. They spoke about their recent comeback, their thoughts on their growing fanbase, and how they'd been balancing their busy schedules. Every now and then, they'd pause to munch on the snacks that had been brought out.
As the interview neared its end, the interviewer turned to Sakura with a question specifically for her. "Sakura, as the eldest member, we know you enjoy crocheting. Have you picked up any other hobbies recently?"
Sakura hesitated for a moment, then smiled. "Actually, yes! I've gotten really into cooking lately. I've always loved it, but I've been diving into it more seriously in the past few months."
Kazuha immediately chimed in. "Kura unnie's cooking has been amazing! It's like we have our own personal chef at home."
The interviewer smiled, clearly intrigued. "Do you follow any particular recipes or chefs?"
Sakura's eyes lit up with enthusiasm. "Yes, there's this YouTube channel I love called PeachTea. She's a smaller creator, but her recipes are incredible, and her videos are so relaxing. It's part cooking, part ASMR. I really recommend checking her out."
The rest of the girls nodded in agreement, and the interviewer made a note of the channel, her curiosity piqued. With that, the interview wrapped up, and the girls thanked the crew before heading back to the van to go home.
A week later, the interview was edited and published online. For the girls, it was business as usual. They did interviews all the time, and this one blended in with the countless others. But for one small creator, life was about to change in ways she couldn't have imagined.
Y/N's POV
It had been another long, exhausting Friday night at the restaurant. The orders were relentless, and with minimal help from my coworkers, I'd been running around the kitchen like a headless chicken, trying to keep up with the flood of tickets. Sweat dripped down my face as I plated yet another order, mentally counting the minutes until closing time.
Finally, just as I thought I was in the clear, a group of people strolled in three minutes before closing, forcing me to stay late. I sighed, knowing I wouldn't be getting home anytime soon. People had no idea how frustrating it was to be a service worker. By the time the last customer left, it was well past midnight, and I was completely drained. I texted my mom to let her know I couldn't visit tonight, then trudged home in a daze.
