"Ma'm, I have found another eye-witness account you may want to see."
Aki, the receptionist moved to open the door, documents hugged to her chest as her eyes wandered around the room, and in the centre, surrounded by papers and notepads, was the ignition Hashira. Her axes were dissuaded to lean against a nearby wall as she leaned back in her seat, meeting the woman's eye and nodding, gesturing for Aki to approach.
The ravenette nodded, bowing her head in respect before placing the documents in (Y/N)'s outstretched hand. "Good. You may leave."
Aki gave another small bow before she turned on her heel and left, shutting the door behind her quickly, silently letting out a breath of relief.
It had been another day since Himari had gone missing.
Another day too long.
The hashira, used to cluttered desks, was always the one to strategically think, to be cool and calculating under pressure at all times, and yet..
The only thing she wanted to do right now was flip the whole district upside down until she found her little sister.
"Damn it.." she scoffed, running a hand through her hair.
Reports. Lots of them.
Disappearances, cases of death and murder. They were all here from within the last week, and there was always one common thread;
A suspected demon.
There was no doubt in her mind that this was the work of a demon, and one unwilling and uncaring to cover up their tracks, so why couldn't she find any that led to Himari? And, most importantly, how would they know of Himari's status? Though, that is a removable factor. The disappearances seemed to be at random, and so, whoever took her might have just taken a pot of gold.
But then, that begs the question: why?
Why capture a line of women?
Just thinking about it made her want to groan. There was nothing. Nothing but the crimes. No evidence, hardly any leads, and all eye-witness accounts reported nothing of the-
"Oh?" The most recent file caught her eye.
'Yes, I saw a woman dangling off the edge of a roof the other night before she fell. I didn't get a good look at who she was having a conversation with, since it was so dark, but..I remember seeing a bunch of these flying pink sache things? I honestly wish I could tell you more. Before I knew it, bam, she fell to the ground and she was dead. Right in front of my eyes. '
Pink Saches? That could mean a million things. A million pinks, a million patterns, a million women with the same sache....but the fact they reported them as "flying"...Perhaps it was a blood demon art of some sort. Nothing natural anyway, especially since the night of the incident reported no weather problems, meaning no wind.
"There were multiple.." She uttered to herself, grabbing a pen to underline the information. Even if it was useless at the moment, if she ever ran into a demon with multiple pink saches, she would have her target.
That was good enough for her.
"A hashira, at a desk?"
A sudden voice spoke out. She rolled her eyes.
"How unflashy." Tengen huffed as he landed on the edge of her open window and climbed into the room with a smirk.
"I don't need your input. Why are you here?" She had known Tengen for a while now. Ever since she first met Kyojuro, Tengen wasn't far behind him, and so, it was only natural the two of them knew one another.
