Trapped in Adulthood

Had I known life was going to be like this,
I wouldn't wish to grow-up.
Adulthood is the biggest punishment this life can give.
Life is not for cowards like me.
I am not bold enough to embrace its reality.

To live, you need to:
Look a certain way,
Walk a certain way,
Talk a certain way,
Smile a certain way.

Shit! I wish I could be me,
With billions in my bank,
And not give a damn
About anyone or anything,
Detached from the world.

I wish I could go up
Without pain,
Without blame.
