PIPER AND BLAIRE, believe it or not, made a suprisingly impressive duo when it came down to combat. The two girls were left to deal with the Earthborn while Jason took down the wolves and Leo faced Khione. This task didn't prove itself to be very hard at all, mostly because the mud monsters were very stupid. Still, Piper and Blaire bested them with such precision, you'd think they were born to fight alongside one another.
Whilst Piper charmed them, flashing them beautiful grins and batting her long, dark eyelashes dramatically, distracting them with her beauty, Blaire snuck on them, slicing them down to gooey heaps of mud. The Hecate spawn moved quickly, dashing through the crowd of monsters like it was hardly a task. Soon enough, Blaire was covered in mud— coated with the remenants of her opponents.
The once beautiful dress she wore was now incredibly disheveled (sorry, Aphrodite) and covered in filth— her hair though must have been charmed, because each individual strand remained tame, rooted intricatly in place. And one of her boots had come untied in her haste.
She looked chaotic. Then again, the entirety of the property had descended into complete chaos, fights raging everywhere.
Khione had taken to unleashing the totality of her winter madness upon them— Leo though was able to combat this with his fiery-pyromaniac abilitys. The godess' powers would do little as long as Leo and his fiery aura were around.
Leo's entire physical being danced with deep flames of amber, defrosting the landscape and keeping he and his friends from freezing to death. Apparently, after not long, he'd grown tired of merely comabatting the ice princess' spells, because he charged toward her, using two silver-tipped ball-peen hammers to smash any monsters that got in his way.
With the help of Piper's charm, Blaire sliced the final Earthborn in half, right down the middle of his lump body, hardly flinching as she was sprayed by his soils.
"Nice," Piper complimented, raising her eyebrows at the Sullivan girl.
Jason seemed to have run out of enemies too. Injured wolves lay in heaps around the perimeters and all but one storm spirit had seemed to dissolve. With a grand sense of finality, Blaire watched as Jason rode his new horse friend (?) through the last ventus, turning it into mere vapor.
They three demigods who were left without a further fight turned to see their friend bearing down on the Godess of snow.
"You're too late," Khione snarled, putting on a brave front though she was obviously afraid of the embers Leo emitted. "He's awake! And don't think you've won anything here, demigods. Hera's plan will never work. You'll be at each other's throats before you can ever stop us."
Leo set his hammers ablaze and threw them at the goddess, but she turned into snow—a white powdery image of herself. Leo's hammers slammed into the snow woman, breaking it into a steaming mound of mush.
Breathing heavily, Blaire turned to Jason with a cocked eyebrow. "Who's horse is that?"
The dark stallion reared on his hind legs, arcing electricity across his hooves.
Then, before Jason was able to anwser, came a cracking sound from behind them. The melting ice on Hera's cage sloughed off in a curtain of slush, and the goddess called, "Oh, don't mind me! Just the queen of the heavens, dying over here!"
A mutual look of annoyance was passed between the four of them. But, because they hadn't a better choice, they jumped into the pool and dashed towards the spire.
Blaire was absolutely apalled by the sight of Hera, who was periodically sinking into the earth, being claimed by Gaea. The stoney ground was rising around her like water in a tank, threatening to drown her and keep her hostage for the rest of eternity. Liquid rock had already covered her shins.
