eleven | Heated SunriseAnd you're angry, and you should be. It's not fair.
His monotone speaking of song lyrics chilled your heart.

Your eyes opened.
The light of dawn tried to slip through the curtains. You were sleeping in one of the spare rooms in Five's family's mansion. After he had led you to the bathroom to take a shower to wash off the blood, he took it up on himself to run back to your apartment and grab the things that you were originally going to bring.
You reached for the [favorite animal] stuffed animal that was across the bed, you must have pushed it away in your sleep, probably having turned agressive during the dream.
It was somewhat embarrassing to still have a stuffed animal at your age, but the truth is, it meant a lot to you. It had been there through thick and thin, memories filled it. It was your comfort.
You slowly sat up, repositioning the straps of your f/c silk, lace nightgown. Sometimes you'd wear silk nightgown, sometimes silk two-pieces, and sometimes just random loner T-shirts and lounge shorts. Tonight, though, you couldn't bare to wear anything that reminded you even distantly of your best friend. Whenever you'd have sleepovers, you'd wear random shirts and shorts, sometimes you'd borrow his sister's clothes, sometimes his clothes. The thought of those memories... they were like twisting a knife in a bruised heart.
You flipped the covers off of you, slowly walking towards the door that led to the hallway. You planned to splash some cold water on your face, and find somewhere to sit to watch the sunrise. Your feet were quiet against the wood, nonetheless, the same could not be said for the hinges to the door. It creaked as you opened it, making you mentally cringe at the thought of waking anyone up. Once you got the door shut, you made your way to the bathroom to rinse off your face and brush your teeth, hopefully waking your body up a little bit more.

You reached the ground floor, your feet meeting with the floor at the bottom of the stairs. The house was chilly. It was chilly enough to give you goosebumps and make the hairs on your arms stand up.
You made your way towards a door that led to what seemed like an outside area, not before finding yourself a drink. Orange juice--or any kind of fruit juice was a no-go because it would mix awfully with the lingering taste of toothpaste in your mouth, so you decided to go with iced water. Once you fixed yourself a glass, you opened the door that led outside.
It led to a courtyard area, the first thing you noticed was a statue. You walked over to it, not recognizing who it was. You brushed it off, and found a place to sit, crossing your legs and letting your body melt into a lazy, yet comfortable position. You sat in peace, in harmony with yourself.
That is, until you heard a door open.
"Well stop trying to make my decisions," you heard Klaus saying, stopping once he saw you. His eyes were bloodshot, and there were bags underneath them. "Oh, so sorry, ma'am, I see this place is already taken. Plus it's best we stay away from your statue, your ego is big enough as it is."
You raised your eyebrow, but looked backed at the sky, since Klaus had left.

Shades of amber, coral and blush pink began to fill the sky, the farthest end still showing a soft blue. You heard the door open again, and turned around to see Five approaching this time. His hands were in his pockets, and his posture was bad as normal. His neck awkwardly bent, making his head hang forward, in front of his body.
"What are you doing?" He asked, attempting to lessen the bitterness and sassiness in his tone.
"Watching the sunrise," you said, turning back forward and lifting your drink up to your lips.
He slowly walked over beside you, and sat down. You snuck a quick glimpse at him, seeing his side profile, then looking back at the sky.
"We should get back to finding the people who killed your friend, it's a huge lead." He seemed to trail off slightly after looking at you.
Slightly insensitive comment.
"I want to watch the sunrise first," you said in a calm tone, looking back at the sky.
You still felt him staring at you, judging you, which resulted in you turning back to look at him.
"What?" You said, raising your eyebrows.
"I--what are you wearing... ?" He asked, his eyes locked into yours.
"My nightgown, it's what I slept in, dummy," you replied, "why?"
His eyes slowly trailed down towards your chest, then back up to your face, he was quiet, and his face began to become slightly overtaken with a faint shade of rouge.
Your eyes widened, "oh my god, are you... turned on?" You tone had a tease to it.
"Excuse me?" He said, his face morphing into a shocked, disgusted expression, "By you?" He scoffed, "you're disgusting."
He stood up, his legs seemingly unstable with embarrassment.
"Anything can turn on a young adult, Five." You said, looking up at him with a shit-eating grin after having made your smart-aleck remark.
He seemed so angry, angry enough to bite off his own tongue. Turned around and walked away, his walk filled with an attitude.
You chuckled, and looked back up at the sky, seeing that the shades of amber and coral were bleeding further into the sky. If you weren't looking from where you were, you would be able to actually see the sun, and see how the gradients of the colors coordinate with the star. You took a deep breath of air, smelling the smell of fresh morning air. There was a mix of dew-covered grass, flowers and the general smell of the morning humidity.
It was absolutely amazing out here, the perfect escape from... everything that had happened the other day.
You slowly stood up and walked over towards the door, pulling it open and walking back inside the academy. The air conditioning hit you like a dunk of cold water. You instinctively reached to hug yourself, attempting to preserve as much warmth as possible. When you walked inside, you saw Five and Klaus talking... well, more so arguing.
Klaus turned and smiled when he saw you, "loving the silk outfit, Y/n."
You smiled back, "thank you. Five sure isn't. I'm gonna go get changed and get myself ready. I'll see you guys in a bit," you smiled and walked away, towards the stairs.

A/N: so this is kind of the start of the sexual themes, this book is gonna have quite a bit of them. A lot of ones I've read have either ROBBED of the actual scene or don't give enough build up. I promise y'all, I will actually write the scene, I'm good with writing smut, and I'm going to have some buildup. But, if you don't go read a story with sexual themes please don't read these and take care of yourself <3
Also, if you didn't read the intro, the physical ages have been raised: Fives physical age is 20, Y/n's is 19, so it's not weird or anything.
Lots of love!!!!
