Hanni is watching the youtube lecture in her pad as she is playing with her pen. No matter how concentrated she is in the classroom, without watching this woman's lecture on youtube she doesn’t understand a topic properly. And the woman who is giving the lecture is none other than her own mother.
“As you know my daughter is also in your class and she loves studying. No matter how much hard you try you have to love doing what you must do. Without that it's hard to achieve something big. My daughter is an academic achiever only because she started loving studying at a very young age” Hanni's mother says in between the lecture.
Hearing her mother, Hanni sighs because what she said is not true at all. She didn’t start studying 24/7 locking herself in her room at the age of 7 because she loved studying. She just hated hearing her parents fight all the time and locked herself in the room. And in order to distract herself she studied while putting headphones over her ears. And she had to do it till she turned 14 because when she turned 14, her parents got divorced on her birthday.
She didn’t cry that day, neither batted an eye to any of her parents because was busy practicing singing for the singing competition. She got fond of music since she would always listen to music over headphones while studying. And she started practicing singing from her music teacher. Her mom left on her birthday and the next day she won the first prize. Life is really so weird to her.
Hanni taps on the table and wonders how her life has turned to this. Till she turned 7 it was all fine. Her life felt like a fairytale. She was a really cheerful kid with her lovely parents and suddenly it all shattered down like a broken mirror. Maybe that's why she became this cold hearted and doesn’t feel any feelings at all.
As Hanni was thinking it all she hears a ringing bell from the main door which makes her snap out of her thoughts. She remembered that she ordered food since her father is out of the town again for business so she had to order dinner. She pauses the lecture and gets up to open the door. But as she opens the door a familiar figure is standing in front of her.
“Kim Minji?” Hanni mumbles as Minji takes her eyes off the phone where Hanni's address has been written.
“Hi? It's your house?” Minji surprisedly asks as a small smile lights up on her face.
Hanni just nods, having a surprised facial expression too. She looks at the food Minji is holding. She notices Minji is wearing her work outfit with a work bag on her shoulder and she is still wearing her scooter's helmet.
“Oh wow” Minji gets amazed and hands Hanni her food.
“Didn’t know you live in such a nice apartment” Minji says and gets inside the apartment pushing Hanni a little bit away.
Hanni doesn’t say anything but just watches Minji getting inside with a surprised expression because this is the first time anyone from her school found where she lives. She pushes the main door a bit to close it and looks at Minji again who is looking around the apartment with amazement.
“Wow Hanni, your apartment is really so organized and pretty” Minji says and sits on a chair she finds nearby and takes off her helmet.
Hanni doesn’t respond as she is not sure what to even say or react. She just stares at Minji with her surprised expression. Minji looks at Hanni and sees how Hanni is standing still with her food and staring at Minji weirdly.
“Why are you just standing there like that? Don't you know how to treat your classmate at your apartment? Go grab me a glass of water I am feeling dehydrated” Minji kinda says in an orderly tone but regrets it instantly knowing it might make Hanni mad and she knows how scary Hanni sounds when she gets annoyed and cold.
