aurora had just gotten home from school and she was sitting in kitchen watching tiktok. she was waiting for jalil to come over because he was spending the night with aurora before they left for lanchester. while she was on her phone she heard the front door open causing her to turn her head. she had seen her dad walked through looking like he had just got back from work. "hey dad! i feel like i haven't seen you in forever"

"hey rors. and your right my work hours got extended." her dad walked over to where she was sitting engulfing his daughter in a hug. "why do your eyes look like their gonna explode?"

aurora laughed at her dads statement not thinking her eyes were still puffy. she had pulled her phone out opening her camera app seeing her eyes had looked the same as they did when she saw jalil in the hallway. "jalil graduated today."

"oh your crying because your gonna miss your man?" aurora nodded her laughing at how her dad was speaking.

"duh im gonna miss my man." the girl spoke dramatically placing her hand over her heart. she had groaned loudly leaning her head back.

"it's all gonna work out rors" her dad told her ruffling her hair before walking away and going to his room. aurora did think it was all going to work out but she was overthink it all, a lot. all of her thoughts about what could happen after jalil left made her feel physically ill.

the girl heard a knock on the door snapping out of her thoughts. she walked over to the door opening it seeing jalil now standing in front of her. the boy had wrapped her in a hug picking her up from of the floor making her squeal. she boy had swayed then side to side making her laugh before he put her back down. "hi baby"

the girl smiled letting him in as they walked upstairs. "hii lil" the girl laid down on her bed looking at jalil who was still standing up. she had looked at him confused before she felt him flop down on top of her making her groan.

"your too heavy for this!" he laughed rolling off of her making aurora let out a sigh of relief. jalil grabbed aurora by her waist pulling her on top of him. she had wrapped her arms around his neck aligning her breathing with his. the two sat in a comfortable silence not having to say anything to each other just being able to enjoy each other presence.

aurora never thought she could find somebody as perfect as jalil. she had always dreamed of finding her person, and now she felt like she was living that out with jalil. the feeling was strange, indescribable even. he had made her feel emotions she didn't even know existed. she had felt strong feelings towards jalil, way stronger than just liking him. jalil meant a lot to aurora and she hoped the meant the same to him.

"you're really quiet. what are you thinking about?" the question made her lose her train of thought snapping out of the daze she was in

"us, our relationship, the future. all that good jazz." the listed off as jalil nodded listening to what she had to say. "i guess i was just really worried about how our relationship was gonna be when we're doing long distance. i guess injust really used to seeing you everyday. and i really like you and i don't wanna lose you"

"preach pastor" jalil joked making rory laugh hitting him on his arm. "nah im joking. rory you know no amount of distance could ever make you lose me. no amount of anything could make you lose me. it's gonna be really different but we're gonna get through it just how we do everything else."

"i really love being with you rory. i don't mean to get all sentimental and shit but being with just really just my perspective on life to be real. the way i feel for you is something i never felt before and you just got a way to make me always smile and what now" rory smiled ear to ear hearing jalils little speak about how he felt about her. it made her feel better about how their relationship was gonna go.
