Synopsis of Previous Chapter, the clean version: After thinking through your choices and what the consequences would be if you didn't follow through, you agreed to help Alastor through his predicament. You knew that if you didn't follow through, there would be no chance that Husk could be set free. Plus, you'd be lying if you said you weren't interested in the activity. With the confidence you gained (either with or without liquid courage) you decided that you wanted to know what the experience was like. And why not tonight?

The night went by between you and Alastor, and it was great. What surprised you most throughout the night were the pet names you were receiving, such as 'love' and 'mate.' You're still confused on if he meant those words

Now, onto the show!

Before I open my eyes, I stretch out my arms. I feel like I had one of those deep sleeps that help me wake up refreshed and ready for the day. When I blink my eyes a few times, preparing to start the day, I'm reminded that I'm not in my room.

My eyes widen as I'm quickly reminded of everything that transpired last night. I'm reminded of the request Alastor asked of me, how I gladly accepted, and how I stayed the night. I look to my side and realize that I'm by myself, he's nowhere to be found. I pull the covers up slightly and look over myself, realizing I need clothes. Great. Basically, everything I came into the room with was shredded, how am I getting out of here?!

As I continue looking around the room, I finally notice a lit lamp on top of a dresser. It looks like there's something on top of the dresser.

I walk over and see a pair of clothes and a small note. Opening the note provides me with some context.

'Take your time. Feel free to take a shower or bath if you want. I grabbed these from your room.' He doesn't sign it, but he doesn't need to. Well, this worked out. I think I'll take him up on that shower.

After a nice shower and getting into the new clothes, which thankfully included a jacket with a collar of decent height to cover the bite mark, I cautiously opened the door into the hallway. I look back and forth before exiting, closing the door behind me.

"(y/n)." I hear my name at my feet.

"Fuck!" I say in surprise as I look down to see Niffty. Of course, I wouldn't think to look that low. Shit! What do I tell her? I was looking for something? I was cleaning? No, she won't believe that.

"He told me to give you this." Niffty says calmly as she hands me another note. Interesting. I suppose she's technically under his rule too. So, if he demands that she keeps quiet, she will. I guess that makes sense. It seems like she was waiting for me.

"Oh... thank you." I state, a bit confused as I grab the note and watch Niffty walk off without another word. I feel like I need more context about what is going on. This is my second note of the morning. I open it to see if it provides any answers.

'Breakfast is waiting for you in the dining room. Sorry I can't join you. Finishing up some business. We'll talk about this later.' I roll my eyes. That is context, but not exactly what I was hoping for. Though breakfast is nice. Food sounds good right now.

I make it through the hallways without running into anyone or having to answer any questions. Thank goodness. As I get closer to the dining room I can smell the food. I smell bacon, toast, eggs. Oh, I'm so excited!

Once I round the corner though I'm disappointed to see the breakfast that was meant for me being devoured by Angel. The disappointment and frustration evident on my face. "Angel!" I yell, irritated.

"Morning toots!" Angel responds cheerfully, taking another bite of eggs. I know my ear twitches from irritation.

I growl from the slight anger. "I was told there was breakfast waiting for me. I wasn't told that you'd be eating it before I got here." I explain through my frustration. After that statement Angel's facial expression changes. He looks proud, like he just discovered something. Did I say something wrong?

"Oh, is that what you were told?" Angel asks in a smug tone. He picks up a piece of bacon and takes a bite, still talking with food in his mouth. "Because... I happened to see Smiles cooking this morning and got curious. He doesn't usually eat this kind of stuff. So, I was wondering who he'd make it for." Ah, I see. Shit, Angel's too smart for his own good sometimes. I'm not quite sure how to play this off.

"I don't know him for being so... kind, to others. What do you two have going on?" Angel asks as he points the remaining piece of bacon at me. "It's odd!" He explains. I have to try and keep my cool. Calm down. Breathe.

"It involves the deal I have with Alastor, and it's none of your business." I vaguely explain as I walk closer to Angel, looking at my nails like I'm unamused by this conversation. "Sometimes I'm rewarded with food. He's a good cook after all." I throw in as I shrug.

"Uh huh. You two fucked, didn't you?" Angel asks, not believing my story. I know my eyes snapped open for a second, trying to think of the next thing to say. Angel didn't miss that detail because he starts laughing. "Oh boy! You did! Mimzy's conversation got you real curious, didn't it?!" He continues laughing. This is going south fast; I need to make sure Angel doesn't tell.

In one quick motion I materialize the Carmine created dagger I use as my weapon and pull Angel by his shirt, holding the weapon up to his neck. At the same time, I feel the tip of an automatic tommy gun poking at my stomach. Angel's quick with the draw. There's an uncomfortable silence between the two of us as we hold each other at the end of our weapons. Food and sex no longer talking points.

"Don't be stupid, Angel." I break the silence, looking at his angry face. "You shoot, I cut, we both die. Besides, now that you know, do you really want to be on both my bad side AND his bad side?" I mention. I can see the wheels in Angel's head turning.

"You fuck with me; you're fucking with him. You fuck with him; you're fucking with me. You understand?" I threaten. I don't like doing this to him, but he's left me with no choice! He still hasn't said anything, I need him to stand down! Time for drastic measures I suppose.

"My overlord is more powerful than yours." I bring up, making Angel's already angry face more upset. I knew that statement would make him upset, but I need him to listen. At least now I have his attention on my words more than our actions.

"Don't let it end like this. Please." I soften my tone, still holding him against my dagger. "I want to see you get redeemed. I really do." I remind him.

"Listen to her, Angel." I hear his voice from the entryway. The staticky tone that I used to loathe but now look forward to hearing. Both my head and Angel's head turn to look at Alastor.

His stance looks so calm, but his glowing red eyes look pissed beyond recognition. The smile on his face a bit unnerving.

"If you breathe a word about this it will be the last thing you share, do you understand?" Alastor questions Angel.

There are a few seconds of silence before Angel finally responds. "It's fine. Your secret is safe with me." He lowers his gun, and I lower my dagger. Tensions more at ease.

"Good." Alastor states calmly before materializing his staff and grabbing it in his right hand. "You two should come along. Vaggie has an update after their meeting with Heaven yesterday." Alastor announces, motioning for us to follow.
