the star taught me that growing comes from healing
from accepting both the flaws and shortcomings
yet finding a reason to appreciate

the simple things that keep us moving

from no longer being afraid of things
that used to cause us pain and suffering
maybe growth comes from knowing
that it is okay to fall down while we are still learning.

that healing comes from embracing
both the chaotic and unpredictable journeys
with the belief that in every door,
there will always be a key
towards a road and a life
that we’ve always yearned to experience and see;

like the clouds that drift through the sky
like the dandelions that fly so high
like the trees that sway in the breeze
like the flowers that blossom in the messiest place
yet still growing beautifully in its own phase

because maybe we can still grow
even on the most unexpected days
and heal in spite of insurmountable challenges
that we are yet to face

that we may still get lost and wander—
wondering if we'll ever be able to change our tale
and live for something greater

regardless of how we felt along the journey
perhaps all we needed was the certainty
that whenever we are, we can still be found
if not by others, then perhaps by ourselves.

let us believe that we are being awaited
in the process of becoming
as long as we continue believing and living

we will heal from the silent battles we fought so hard;
we will grow and bloom;
and our wounds will be reborn
into the most exquisite piece of art

despite the darkness and sorrow beneath our scars
we will shine like stars in the night
until then, breathe and hold on tight.
