Alix's POV

Last night my soul burned away into a million embers as Claudius Fontaine rolled me over in bed and pounded me till morning. I was drooling on the pillow, orgasm after orgasm, life essence intact. Occasionally we lay on our sides, and Claudius would keep fucking me and if we were missionary he would suck on my tits for hours.

I had never experienced anything like it. It was a blur of lust, amplified by the demon inside. Fontaine's eyes had burned black, rimmed with red, showing Bayux was in control of the fucking after midnight.

In the morning, Claudius rolled out of bed to get straight to work, walking to reception, checking that all operations were running smoothly. I slept in, all the way past noon.

I woke to a knock at the door, but this time it wasn't my parents visiting for a late night cup of tea. They had actually enjoyed the cookies and I just said they were for my dad, as I was guilty for not buying a gift. Luckily he loved cookies. But I knew they were settling into their new house in Clue today and wouldn't be at the Holiday Park.

I walk to the front door in a fresh silk nightgown, my hair in a one sided braid, my makeup not done. I am glad it's not Claudius in his perfect suit, with his beautiful scarfs and gloves and shiny shoes. I always felt out done by him.

And I'm extra glad it's actually Pearly!

But she has six stitches on her left temple, her hair in a loose pony, wearing a cute navy cardigan and mini skirt that matches, "What happened, Pearly?" I gape.

"Claudius said I could visit and we could go out tonight, when the meeting is on, maybe we could watch a movie together, hm?" Pearly shrugs, wriggling her brows, "Sound like a plan?"

I nod, inviting her in, "Yes, I would really love that..." I murmur as she walks in and I look for Isela, who is driving up the dirt path, waving from out the window.

She looks busy, talking to someone. On her other side is Dagger, he doesn't look over, he looks a little motion sick, if anything. He's probably not used to motor vehicles yet. Strange he didn't even drop by to say hello.

I shut the door and see Pearly is already turning to the circular mirror on the nearest wall, checking her injury, "This was an accident of sorts," Pearly explains, "Alix..." she turns to me now, tears in her eyes, she looks scared, "We need to talk."

"Dagger?" I mouth and she nods and averts her eye, walking with me to the kitchen table. She takes a seat and I offer her tea, but she declines.

"He is very distant," Pearly admits, "Kind, but cautious. But that's not really what's scaring me."

"What's scaring you?" I ask, "Is it the threat of dying?"

"I had an interaction," Pearly taps her fingers along the table, "Um," she looks at me, "With an entity of sorts..." she waits to see if I'll know what she's talking about.

"...a ghost?" I guess. Pearly shakes her head, drooping her shoulders and averting her gaze.

"...never mind, actually..."

"Wait," I interject, slapping my hand down, "A demon?"

Pearly quickly locks eyes with me and nods, "You've met Claudius' incubus demon, haven't you? What was it like, can you tell me?"

"Mmhm... well, I didn't meet him until yesterday," I explain, "Because I was a virgin, I couldn't be intimate with an incubus. It could kill us both. It's a weird law of hell, demonology I guess, if Fontaine slept with me, he could lose his powers, I'm guessing it means it could kill or expel the incubus. But with the demon I met, he realised my love for Claudius was true. Loving Claudius, meant I loved the demon too. Because they co-exist. So, we're friends now. And I can now touch Claudius without consequences. It's neat, actually."
