Yunjin heaved a soft sigh as she snuggled into the source of warmth under her. She was rudely awakened by the cold hotel air, but she didn't dare open her eyes: she already had a raging headache, and the light could only make it a million times worse.Everything seemed just as it should be: the warmth under her cheek and against her body, the few more minutes of sleep she was trying to gather...
Yunjin's eyes shot open after recollecting yesterday's events. Her heart was pounding loudly in her chest as her eyes darted over the girl she was attached to. Her head was resting on top of Chaewon's bare chest, and her hand rested on the girl's lean stomach. Their legs were tangled together in a way that would make escaping near-impossible.
Chaewon's skin felt smooth under her fingertips. She couldn't see, nor feel a single imperfection. She was a goddess worthy of worshipping; although Yunjin had realised that long before they ended up here.
She slowly looked up, inspecting Chaewon's peaceful face as her chest slowly rose up and down with every deep breath she took.
She knew that she should be panicking right now. She was also painfully aware that this never should've happened in the first place. It's one thing to hook up with your best friend and another to hook up with the leader of your group. Whatever this was couldn't happen again.
But as she felt Chaewon breathe under her cheek and heard her heartbeat past her perfect skin, it didn't feel like a mistake. All she could feel was comfort.
After about fifteen minutes of staring and a whole bunch of thinking, Yunjin carefully lifted herself off her best friend, trying to avoid both crushing her and waking her up. After trial and error, she successfully managed to detach herself from the sleeping beauty.
She quietly gathered some clothes from the closet before heading into the bathroom. Her reflection was looking like something out of a horror movie: her hair was a mess, her makeup was runny and her lipstick was smudged in all directions.
She tried not to think about it too much, but each time she blinked she imagined how it was to kiss Chaewon, and to freely roam her body.
The girl slapped her cheeks, trying to force the replay of yesterday's events out of her mind. It proved futile, since her mind was too full of Kim Chaewon.
She poured some makeup remover on a cotton and started rubbing it across her face. What was she even thinking? You don't sleep with your best friend after getting shitfaced.
She wanted to bash her head into the wall.
After putting the effort in to make herself seem somewhat decent, Yunjin wiggled out of her dress and into sweatpants and a cropped top. When you're hungover and full of embarrassment, comfort is the way to go.
As she walked back into the room, her eyes settled on Chaewon. Her cheeks were rosy, and her lips were reddened by Yunjin's lipstick. She looked like a mess of beautiful imperfections. To Yunjin, she was everything that's holy.
She didn't know whether or not to wake her up. She didn't want to leave her all alone and naked, but she didn't want to face whatever came next either. Losing Kim Chaewon meant losing the universe itself, and Yunjin was almost certain that would be the case.
She snuck towards the bed, sucking in a breath as she gathered courage. She bent down, and moved Chaewon's bangs up with her hand. She planted a tender kiss on the girl's forehead.
"I'm next door, okay?" She whispered. Chaewon replied with an incoherent murmur before turning around and continuing her slumber.
Yunjin could only chuckle, finding the smaller girl adorable.
