"So is this where I'm staying?" Bliss, the young girl, asked Lapis and Sally.

"It's only for a little while," Sally replied. "We'll come back around to check up on you every so often."

Bliss stepped out of the cart, looking curiously at the motel complex. "Who else is here? Are there villains around?"

"There's none of that," Lapis assured, stepping out of the cart as well. "You'll be fine. I know someone— her name is Jenny— she'll come to check up on you. Is that okay?"

"Is she nice?"

Lapis nodded, guiding Bliss. "Let's go to the office so you can meet her."

Together, they went into a glass-walled foyer. It was rather small, yet there were a few seats available. Inside, WordGirl was handing off some kind of red box.

"Hold on— Oh! Hey, Lapis!" Jenny said, briefly interrupting the young superhero. "Who'd you find?"

"Sally and I found her while we were investigating Finn's place," Lapis replied. "Her name is Bliss."

"She makes four, then," WordGirl said. "Tara found a robot, and I found a talking sheep."

"There's one more coming this way," Jenny added.

"Wow, new record."

"Right, well, if she's safe with you—" Lapis turned to leave. "I'll see if Acht would let me use the emergency showers."

"Did something happen?"

"Nothing!" Lapis briskly left.

"She was arguing with the chipmunk," Bliss said shortly after. "Walked up to them and the chipmunk— was her name Sally?— was clinging onto Lapis' leg. Hey, did you know her wings are water?"

WordGirl leaned on the counter, glancing briefly at Jenny and smiling. "Well, you seem a lot less antsy for being far from home."

Bliss chuckled. "I've been around a lot. So, I take it you're a hero?"

"Yup," Jenny interjected. "That's WordGirl. She's strong, powerful, and she likes to study."

"Seventh grade?"

WordGirl nodded.

"Knew it!"

"Let's get you situated in a room." WordGirl moved away from the counter. "All of them look the exact same, so it's not much of a big deal which one has the better stuff. They all have the same things."

Bliss looked at Jenny.

"Go ahead," Jenny said with a nod. "I'll be right here. I just need to figure this briefcase out."

With a nod, Bliss followed WordGirl outside. She skipped to catch up with the hero, about the same age as her. "Hey, um, I have this sister named Blossom, you kinda remind me of her." She kicked herself off the ground, floating in front of the now-halted, now-surprised girl.

"Wait, you can fly," WordGirl noted.

"I can do a lot of other things. I'm a Utonium, after all."

"Then let's start with that. What else can you do?"

Bliss floated to the parking lot. "So you want a practical demonstration of my abilities? Only if you show off yours."

"Oh, please don't destroy the asphalt," Jenny said to herself, watching the showcase of power outside. "It's annoying to fix."

She drummed her fingers on the table, paying more attention to the scene outside than the box in front of her. Not that she minded the show outside, she just hoped the damage would be minimal. Then she sighed; why was she getting so worked up over property damage? What was she, a civilian?
