Part 2:1

Eliza's thoughts and attention were abruptly brought back to the present by loud screams and laughter emanating from the gym. She left her office and made her way down the hallway and outside to pinpoint the source of the commotion. Upon reaching the gym, she discovered Adam, Erin, Austin, and Emilie all engaged in a lively game of tag, chasing each other around the room and erupting in fits of laughter.Eliza cleared her throat & with a beaming smile on her face asked "What, may I ask, is happening here? Your commotion has interrupted my time for thought," she said with a chuckle as they all endeavored to appear innocent."We are simply engaging in a game of tag."Erin admitted"But if the person chasing you catches you, you must take of an article of clothing off""Oh I see so strip tag then? they all nodded "Adam, where is Cerise?" Eliza asked. "With Rob and his family," he replied.
"Well, I won't prevent you from enjoying yourselves, but please, could you keep the screeching to a minimum?" They all nodded in agreement. "Anyway, where are the others?" Eliza asked, her curiosity piqued."I think the rest of the girls went to the outdoor pool for a swim, I think Luke went to his room to call his wife & I believe Darren & Cece are in Darren's rooms' Eliza didn't hear the rest of that sentence, she stopped listening when she heard 'to call his wife' "Sis, are you okay?" Emilie asked, approaching her sister and enveloping her in a warm embrace, recognizing the crestfallen look on her face. "Oh, Eliza, you really had feelings for Luke, didn't you? I'm so very sorry."Eliza allowed Emilie to hug her a little while longer before shaking her off & saying brightly "I guess I'll just enjoy watching all of you pair up," she said, surprising them momentarily before they burst into laughter. Adam approached Erin from behind, draping his arms over her shoulders and resting his chin gently on top of her head. Eliza watched with a smile, content to see her sister so happy with such a wonderful man. "Should I go check on Darren and Cece, or...?""No," Adam said, laughing and shaking his head frantically. "I am convinced that they would not appreciate it if you knocked on their door and disturbed them right now.""Oh, and why's that?" Everyone around her laughed, including herself. Austin simply gave her a cheeky smile and a big wink, then, noticing Eliza's expression, he nodded."Oh, I see, they're playing a game just for two people, are they?" they all laughed and nodded."Ok, I shall leave them to it then," she said as she prepared to leave the gym. Over her shoulder, she called out, "Remember what I said, kids—keep the noise to a minimum, please." As she stepped out the door, a mixture of sounds followed her."YES BOSS" and "YES MA'AM" echoed behind her as she exited. As Eliza made her way back to her office, a tear threatened to escape her eye."Luke's married," she thought sadly, "But of course, he is," she muttered. Upon reaching her office, she flung the door open and then forcefully closed it, frustrated with herself for once again succumbing to the charms of a married man.
