You and Aaravos have been together for years, centuries even. Everything seemed perfect for the two of you and he even talked about having a family.
Until things fell out. As Aaravos fascination with Xadia and humans grew, he unknowingly became distant with you. His focus had been shifted all towards his studies and work as a mage of all Primal Sources while you longed for his attention and even the smallest bit of his affection.
He promised to make time for you, to have you in his arms again and you remained patient, Waiting for the day he fulfills his promise.
But then he doesn't, so you ask again and again and again until it became a repeating cycle that never seemed to end. You slowly grew tired of his empty promises as you spent the nights in your shared bedroom alone, the space beside you remained hauntingly cold and untouched as you relished every but of warmth you could muster.
Slowly the seemingly peaceful and perfect life you had crumbled. You longed for his warmth and presence but he remained absent everytime. Becoming too ingrossed in his work, neglecting you as a result which broke your heart.
You tried to remain understanding and knew how important his work is to him but it became too much and eventually you resulted in separating with him Much to his heartbreak. When you left he begged for you to stay, for you to perhaps give him another chance.
But you couldn't, maybe not now. So with a heavy heart you left. You loved him dearly but this constant cycle of asking and him just making false promises became tiring and formed into something toxic.
It was for the best, For both your sakes this separation needed to happen. Atleast, in your opinion. When you left Aaravos was nothing short of heartbroken. even as he masked his emotions, it was clear your break up had taken a toll on him.
He became more distant and slowly isolated himself due to the guilt and grief he experienced. His thoughts swirled over and over in his mind, wondering what he could've done better as guilt consumed him.
The loneliness slowly caught up to him, but no matter how much he tried, he didn't seem to enjoy the company of others as his thoughts circled back to you.
Like an endless cycle. Craving companionship, he searched for a spell that could help him cope but he accidentally stumbled upon an ancient writing.
Realizing what the book held he decided to try it. His desperation for companionship and affection led his determination. In his last effort he did as every word instructed expecting mostly nothing.
Until he heard a cry. The cry of a child, his child. The little newborn waned in his arms as a soft smile stretched across his lips. Perhaps everything would be alright.
The years he spent raising leola were everything, though there was still a slight emptiness in chest. Even so with Leola by hus side he still couldn't help but long for you, for your warmth, your love.
When he introduced you to leola, you were quite nervous but he reassured you that everything would be alright. And when she finally met you, She had been a little hesitant at first unsure about you.
As time passed she slowly grew fond of you, how you were so gentle and kind. The way your voice softens when speaking, She found you lovely.
Leola never thought she'd have a family, a complete family. But now with you, she's more than happy.
