"Chief, are you alright?" Assistant Bear asked, his voice laced with concern as he rested his hand on the handle of the gun strapped to his waist.

Chief Lisun groaned and slowly pushed the figure lying heavily on top of him aside. He sat up, brushing off the dirt and grime that clung to his clothes.

He looked down at the person sprawled on the grass, their clothes a muddled mix of colors. She was a young woman with a defiant posture, her fiery red hair fanned out like a halo around her. Her face, partially hidden by a stray lock of hair, was flushed with a mixture of embarrassment and frustration.

She glanced up briefly, her eyes meeting his for a fleeting second before she turned her attention back to the dirt. With intense focus, she resumed drawing a series of concentric circles on the ground, her brow furrowed in concentration.

Chief Lisun was torn between incredulity and irritation. She had landed on him with such force that he'd thought he'd been flattened. And now, here she was, seemingly unaffected by the chaos she had caused. Her behavior made his irritation grow.

"Get up," he ordered with an icy edge to his voice, hoping to cut through her stubbornness.

The young woman, unperturbed, continued to draw, her hand moving in fierce, almost frantic strokes.

"Are you deaf? I said, get up!" His patience was wearing thin, and his voice rose, echoing slightly in the open space.

With a sudden, sharp movement, the woman stood up, her face now contorted in anger. She flung the stick she had been using to draw onto the ground with a loud thud. Her arms crossed defiantly, and her eyes narrowed into a glare that could have set the grass alight.

"Speak. Why did you try to attack me?" Chief Lisun demanded, his gaze piercing through her.

"You do realize that what you did is considered harassment of a Head Guard, don't you? You could end up in jail!" His tone was harsh, underscoring the seriousness of the situation.

The woman didn't respond verbally but was mentally fuming. Her thoughts were a whirlwind of indignation.

'Damn you!'

'So unromantic!'

'I wanted you to catch me when I fell, but you...'

'Humph! Let's see how you handle my temper...'

'I feel like I'm smaller than other girls, but you made it seem like I was an elephant...'

Lost in her self-righteous anger, she didn't notice the amused smile creeping across Chief Lisun's face. His stern demeanor wavered as he tried to suppress a smirk.

Assistant Bear, standing nearby, was struggling to contain his amusement. His eyes sparkled with barely restrained laughter. He had seen the whole scene unfold and was finding it increasingly difficult to keep a straight face.

Unable to hold back, he burst into uncontrollable laughter, clutching his stomach and bending over. His laughter was loud and infectious, resonating through the courtyard. He fell to the ground, still shaking with mirth, his face flushed.

Rara, initially stunned, watched in confusion. As she caught sight of Chief Lisun's amused expression, the realization hit her like a cold splash of water.

What the hell?!

Her face turned a deep shade of crimson, and the blush spread down her neck and to her ears. She looked like a shy, yet strikingly beautiful, girl caught in an awkward moment. Her embarrassment was palpable.

Nervously, she tucked a strand of hair behind her ear and glanced around, desperate to distract herself from the stares. Her actions were clumsy, revealing just how flustered she felt.

At this moment, Chief Lisun's gaze softened. He watched her with a gentleness that was almost out of place in his usually stern demeanor. Had Assistant Bear not called out to him, he might have lingered on that look a little longer.

"Chief... it's so funny... haha... I can't believe she wanted you to catch her... an elephant..." Assistant Bear gasped for breath, his laughter still bubbling up despite his attempts to suppress it.

Rara shot a fierce look at Assistant Bear, and his laughter abruptly ceased. He looked away, clearing his throat and trying to regain his composure.

Chief Lisun cleared his throat, shaking his head slightly, feeling a strange stir of emotion in his chest. He tried to dismiss it, knowing that any personal feelings were irrelevant. His duty was clear: protect her as per his master's orders. He needed to keep his focus and not entertain any notions that didn't belong to him.

His expression hardened again as he turned his attention back to Rara. He couldn't fathom how she had ended up on top of him and then glanced at the second prince's balcony. His face darkened with rage as he took in the height of the balcony.

The height of the balcony was daunting, and the fact that she had jumped down without hesitation was reckless in the extreme. What was she thinking?

Rara felt a chill as she met Chief Lisun's glare. It was as if he could see right through her, and his anger was palpable.

What the...?

Why was he so furious?

"Ch-Chief... what's wrong?" she stammered, taking a cautious step back as her anxiety spiked.

"What's wrong?!"

"Chihara Hagard! Do you have a death wish? The second floor is so high, and you jumped down just like that!"

"Do you even care about yourself? If I had dodged, you would have met the reapers by now!"

With that, Chief Lisun stormed off, his anger manifesting as a storm cloud above his head.

Assistant Bear, not wanting to face Rara alone, scrambled to his feet and hurried after Chief Lisun, glancing back with a last chuckle before disappearing around a corner.

Rara was left alone, staring blankly at the space they had vacated.

'Well... I don't have a death wish, and I'm not a superhero. But I do have magic, right?'

'Even if you had dodged, I'd still be alive, maybe with a few broken bones. Not a big deal. I could get Hoodie Guy to heal me...'

She muttered to herself as she entered the second prince's palace, her steps heavy with lingering embarrassment. She made her way back to her room, her mind racing with thoughts of how to approach the king about learning to summon the Fogs Fairies. Her previous encounter with the fairies had left her with a grudge she couldn't easily set aside.

But what if the king didn't approve of her request?

And where was Prince Xavier, Queen Lustia's son? She had not seen him around the palace, and her curiosity was piqued. With no wars or crises at the moment, surely he should be present if he wasn't on a mission.

Her eyes brightened with a new idea.

Yes! She could try approaching the eldest prince!
