The drive back to the venue was almost too fast, like we were trying to outrun the chaos that had followed us all night. But even with the speed and the flashing lights of the city, the tension between us was palpable, thick like a storm about to break.

Leonardo's grip on the steering wheel was tight, knuckles white against the leather as he navigated the streets with ease. His focus was on the road, but I could feel his energy shifting-anger, frustration, desire. The last hour had been a whirlwind, but I wasn't ready to back down, not yet.

I shifted in my seat, watching him from the corner of my eye. "You're quiet," I said, my voice cutting through the silence.

"Thinking," he replied, his voice rough but distant.

A small smirk tugged at my lips. "About how you wanted to fuck me back there, with that gun pressed against me?"

"That gun kind of turned me on." I joked, winking.

His grip on the wheel tightened, and for a second, I thought I had him. Then he shot me a glance, dark and filled with that familiar intensity. "You think I forgot? No, babydoll. I'm just waiting for the right moment to make good on that promise."

I swallowed hard, my heart racing. The adrenaline from the fight still coursed through me, but now it mixed with something else entirely. "I'm holding you to that."

His eyes flicked to me again, and the corner of his mouth lifted in a dangerous smile. "You won't have to wait long. But right now, we've got bigger problems to deal with. Daniel needs to answer for what happened."

The mention of Daniel snapped me back to reality. The tension between us shifted, settling into something darker, heavier.

"What are we going to do with him?" I asked, the weight of the night finally catching up to me. "He's more trouble than he's worth."

Leonardo's jaw clenched, his eyes back on the road. "We'll see. Depends on what he tells me."

The rest of the drive was quiet, but the air between us hummed with unspoken words and lingering tension.

When we arrived back at the venue, Karissa was waiting for us at the door. She looked exhausted, but her usual confident energy was still there.

"Everyone's gone," she said, running a hand through her hair. "They left happy, especially with the money and prizes. We pulled it off."

Leonardo nodded, but his focus was elsewhere. "Where's Daniel?"

Karissa's smile faded as she motioned for us to follow. "I put him in one of the private rooms. He's not going anywhere, he's lucky I didn't break his legs."

I laughed giving her a blow kiss, "that's my kari."

As we walked down the hall, the weight of the situation started to settle in my chest. Leonardo's anger was simmering just below the surface, and I had no idea how this was going to play out. When Karissa led us to a dimly lit room, I felt my heart race as we stepped inside.

Daniel was sitting in a chair, tied up, his eyes wide and frantic as he looked up at us. His face was pale, his body tense like a trapped animal. He knew he was in trouble.

Leonardo wasted no time. He stepped forward, looming over Daniel with a calm that only made him more terrifying. "You've got ten seconds to explain why I shouldn't put a bullet through your head right now."

Daniel swallowed hard, his voice trembling as he tried to speak. "Please, Leo-listen, I can explain."

Leonardo's hand shot out, grabbing Daniel by the throat. "Start talking then. And fast."
