Rez

Pollux was sleeping snuggled up next to him and Rez just pet her spikes gently while staring at the wall, Pollux's sleep was restless and she kept shifting about. He rubbed her spikes gently and he shook her awake. Pollux gasped and shook all over and Rez asked "nightmare..?" Pollux let out a strangled whine and Rez hugged her close. 

"Shhh..." he said "it's okay..." Pollux slowly relaxed, her breathing was shaky as she leaned against him. He rubbed his back gently and slowly, trying to be careful not to cause her pain and Pollux wrapped her arms around him. It's been a couple of days since Negative Pollux's attack, almost a week. Pollux has been waking up every night from nightmares, he felt so bad, she hasn't been getting any sleep. 

Pollux relaxed when she realized Negative Pollux wasn't here and it was just him and Rez gently nuzzled her hair, his ear twitching softly as he listened to her mumbles.  "You're safe..." Rez said softly as he nuzzled her, Pollux's eyes drooped and she clung to him tightly before slowly loosening her tight grip. 

He felt Pollux hide her face into his shoulder and he said "it's morning now, you want tea? I got some tea from Master" Pollux nodded. Wither slept nearby peacefully, his small frame tucked under a blanket. Rez tried to put Pollux aside but she shook her head and clung to him, "Pollux, I have to get up if you want tea" Rez said softly to her, when he didn't get a reply from Pollux he decided to just carry her. 

He stood up and held her gently, Pollux was leaned up against him tiredly and quietly and Rez grabbed a kettle. Pollux croaked "no-" Rez turned and asked "what?" Pollux shook her head "no kettle- it scares Wither" Rez stared silently before sighing "okay..." he leaned his head onto Pollux and grabbed some cups. 

He filled them with water and decided to just use the microwave, he had a microwave in this room. Normally he'd be cheering in pyromaniac but right now he was scared to do anything that could scare Pollux, she was in a vulnerable state right now and he didn't want to make it worse. 

He heated up the water and brewed the tea, holding her close with one arm while nuzzling her softly. He felt an urge to nuzzle her, though he couldn't explain it. He just wanted her to feel safe and happy, he wanted her to be protected. Pollux was half asleep as he put sugar in the tea and gave it to her, Pollux took it with a shaky hand and she sipped it. 

He couldn't take how quiet she was, she used to have a fiery temper at times before Negative Pollux attacked her, "why are you nuzzling me so much?" Pollux asked and Rez held her close and protectively "I don't know" he admitted, Pollux stared at him before sighing "whatever," she sipped the tea and he walked back to the couch. 

I am going to keep Pollux safe for real this time, I need to keep them safe with Negative Pollux on the run. I need to keep her safe and happy, I cannot let her get hurt again. He carefully brushed her hair, making sure she doesn't spill her tea as he does so, Pollux didn't at all seem annoyed by this and he finished and said "I got you something, a robe" he sighed "it should fit, wanna try it on?" Pollux muttered "okay" Rez grabbed the bag nearby because he could now see that Pollux was doing better.

He pulled out a fluffy black and grey robe and Pollux stared at it curiously, he put it over her head and helped her put it on. He felt her relax into it and said "comfortable, right?" Pollux nodded and Rez smiled down at her and rubbed her head gently "I know..." I still need to take my suit off, I haven't had time to take it off. 

I don't have any work any time soon, in fact my work is taking care of Pollux right now. So I should really not be wearing my suit, I've been wearing it for five days straight- you know what, I'm changing. He stood up and whispered to Pollux "I'm taking my suit off, you can't come with me" Pollux didn't seem happy about this.
