"So." Carrington says cutting the awkward silence.

"Why would you lie?" I turn to him and he frowns.

"Anna it's not that easy." He frowns.

"Oh really?" My eyebrows raised questionably.

"Please just hear me out don't get mad or anything just listen." He begs and I nod, "you just sounded like you would regret it and I know it would just make me feel like shit."

"So you lied about something big because you didn't want to feel like shit is what you're telling me?" I sit up straighter.

"I, I worded it wrong, Anna please." He begs.

"Carrington you lied about us having sex because you didn't want to feel bad. It's sex, it's not like it's not a big deal. I haven't had sex in 6 months because I was waiting out for someone I thought I could have something special. I've been freaking the fuck out buying pregnancy tests because I don't even know if we wore a condom or anything." My voice raises and he frowns.

"I didn't realize, you said it wasn't a big deal."

"Because I was worried about you feeling bad. I was panicking but I put your emotional needs first because I knew you would feel bad. I put you fucking first just to have you lie to me."

"Oh," he looks down, "I had a condom on."

"Okay." I lean back on the couch and we sit like that for a while processing.

"Anna I'm sorry." He scoots closer to me.

"Carrington I understand your sorry but I'm still upset because I can't trust you. Do you understand? I asked you multiple times if you remembered anything and you continuously lied. I don't get it." I lean my elbows onto my knees resting my head on my hands.

"I'm sorry." It comes out as a whisper.

We sit in silence before Johnnie walks in with his new girlfriend.

"What's up guys?" He says happily not noticing the tension.

"Hey Johnnie." I smile getting off the couch. "Hello I'm Adriana."

"I'm Grace." Johnnie's girlfriend greets me pulling me into a hug, "Johnnie has talked a lot about you."

"Awe." I laugh looking over at Johnnie noticing the way he's staring at Carrington.

"Everything alright?" He asks me and I give him a look and he knows.

"Um I have to go I have an agency thing but it really was amazing to finally meet you Grace, bye Johnnie." I say as I scoop up Dex and all of my stuff and leave the house.

Without looking back I get in my car and drive off.
