Eddie POV

I was the first to get to Fia's apartment. I knocked a few times, but I could faintly hear her crying from inside. I took out my key and let myself in. My sister needed me. Looking from room to room, I found her in the bathroom, hugging the toilet. She was sweaty. I touched her forehead. She was clammy. I looked in the toilet, she'd thrown everything up. Shit.

She's in shock.

Calling 9-1-1 I let them know that my sister was in shock and I needed an ambulance. I sent Em a text to cancel any food or have it sent to the hospital. Fia's in shock.

Em: OMG! I'll bring the food to the hospital. We can feed the staff and ourselves. I'll get more when she wakes up.

Em: Please tell me he's not her emergency contact.

Shit. Wait.

Eddie: She listed us both.

She wanted someone with a medical background to listen to what the doctors and results were saying be able to help Caleb make the right decisions for her, and respect the choices she's made. I hope it doesn't come to that.

The ambulance was here in fifteen minutes. I made sure she was on her side. I packed a bag for her and another one with all her important documents and precious things.

Eddie: A locksmith is coming; can you wait for him? The lawyer said we can kick him out. He'll be served tomorrow am with eviction papers.

Em: Keep me updated?

Eddie: Promise.

Once she was loaded, they took her vitals and her sugar. Her heart rate was elevated, and her BP was not good at all. I grabbed her bags and brought them with me. They weren't huge so I could keep them off on the side, out of the way. I let the EMTs work on her while I tried calling Caleb. Straight to voicemail. This...I tried again. Straight to voicemail. I tried every five minutes the whole way to the hospital. I knew they shared their location, so the only thing I can think of is he's somewhere he shouldn't be.

What an ass.

I wanted to hit him right in the face. Break his nose. Make him not look so good anymore. I heard a ping coming from in the bag I'd packed for Fia. I pulled it out, using the code to unlock it. I see a text from an unknown number.

Unknown: I sent the video you requested in an email attachment. I would also, again, like to offer my lawyer's services. She will be handling the termination suit for those two anyway.

Fia: This is Devin's brother, Eddie. We'd like to take you up on that, thank you. Also. Could you ask them if we're allowed to change the locks if she owned the apartment as a premarital asset? Like a year before they started dating?

Unknown: Hello, Eddie. I'm Clint. Caleb's boss. I'll be teaming up with your sister to help take them down. My lawyer says yes you can. Just schedule a time for him to collect his belongings.

"Em. Look," I showed her the texts.

"Then let's wait til we hear from him on her phone. She's got a ring camera right?"

"Yeah."

"We can keep track of who comes to see her."

Fia: Thank you very much, Mr. Clint. We do appreciate it. Devin is currently down at City Hospital. She's in shock and unconscious.

Unknown: I'll be down to visit with my lawyer. Let me know when she wakes up.

As soon as her eyes opened, I sent a text to that unknown number letting them know she was awake. She looked even more closed off when she learned he hadn't been to the hospital or the apartment. This was just going to kill her.
