The door rings as I walk in to Hayward's shop.

"Hey, Del!" Kiara looks at me with a smile as she hangs a costumer his bag.

"Sorry I'm late." I apologize as JJ smiles.

"Nah, you're fine." Pope assured.

"Anyway, what was your through proceeds, using your head?" JJ continues his interrupted conversation with pope.

"I don't know, man. I just kind of acted off instinct.—Alright? I was a cornered animal." Pope answers.

"Hey, pope!" Heyward shouts. "Someone here to see you." He gives his son a disappointed look.

We all look at the door as Shoupe walks in.

"Shit." I mumble.

"Evening officer." Pope says shocked.

"I have an arrest warrant for felony destruction of property." Shoupe said.

Pope slowly turns to me and JJ.

"Keep your Hands on the counter where I can see them." Shoupe ends the conversation early. Kie raises her hands, then places them on the counter.

I give Shoupe a confused look.

"Young lady outta my way." He pushes past me to get to pope.

"Whoa. Shoupe, what'd he do?"  Heyward asks.

My ears start to ring. I look at the fear in popes eyes as Shoupe cuffs him, I'm unable to hear what they're saying. The voices fade around me as pope is being escorted out of heywards shop. I can see JJ yelling at Shoupe pushing him as I follow behind the poor de-stressed Pope. I look at JJ as he yells at Shoupe. I can suddenly hear once again.

"It wasn't him!!" JJ practically screams. "It was me."

I look at JJ in confusion. He walks closer to Shoupe.

"He tried to talk me out of it, but I was mad because he's just been beaten up. And I was so sick of those assholes from Figure Eight that I lost my shit. I can't let you take the blame for somethin' I did. You've git too much to lose" He turns to look at Pope.

"JJ, what are you doing?"

"I'm telling the truth. For once in my goddamn life I'm gonna tell the truth." Silence fills the air. "I took his old man's boat, too."

"What the hell?" Heyward looks at JJ.

"JJ, come on." Pope pleads.

"Just shut up, Pope!" He raises his voice nearly making Pope jump. "Just shut up. He's a good kid. You know where I'm from."

"Yeah." Shoupe replies.

I look at Kiara, needing for her to tell me what that had meant.

"This was all me." JJ admits.

"That's the whole truth?" Shoupe asks Pope.

"Whole truth, swear to god."

"I know what you think, damn it. I'm asking Pope."

Pope looks at JJ. JJ nods.

"Yeah, that about covers it." Pope says hesitantly.

The handcuffs rattle as shout takes them off pope. JJ glances back at me while he's getting in the backseat of shouted vehicle. The door slams as Shoupe walks around to the drivers side.

"Shoupe!" I basically scream.

He looks over the hood of the car.

"What's your problem?!" I yell at him as he makes his way over to me. "What's my problem?"
