Chapter 9: Let me explain everything

Chase didn't even think he instantly ran to the elevator and smashed the down button. His heart was beating out of his chest, his breathing was out of control, his eyes were wide, he was having a panic attack.

Chase didn't want to stay there any longer, Nato was right. He would have Skye, Chase shook his head, he couldn't believe that Nato actually kissed Skye. He felt like throwing up, he was in tears. Chase needed to talk to someone.

As soon as the elevator opened he sprinted out and ran as fast as he could to the hotel, once he arrived he sped through the building into the elevator, He ran to the stairs and up to the roof. Once he was on the roof he slowed down and sat in his spot on the edge. Despite this being where Chase came to think and cool off he couldn't stop shaking. He wanted to yell and that's exactly what he did.

"AHHHHHHHHHH"

Chase took a deep breath and looked out at the city, what was once his calming view became a horrific sight as Tokyo tower towered over all the buildings. He pressed his pup tag,

"Everest... I need you, come to the roof of the hotel please"

In an instant he heard the roof door open and the scent of the husky filled his nose.

"What's wrong?? I came as soon as you called!"

"Nato kissed Skye"

"He did what???? What happened??? How did that happen??? Can I have some context please??" Everest asked taking a spot next to Chase.

"We were have a great night, we talked about some stuff, we went to a sushi restaurant and then we took a walk to Tokyo tower where that dream I told you about came true. Nato kissed Skye, he left her a note confessing his love and beyond. She wanted to have a word with him and I wouldn't let her. So she made me a deal. I read the letter and she gets to talk to him. The letter was filled with a heart confession and more. When I turned around I saw him grab her cheeks, close his eyes, and press his lips against hers" Chase finished as tears continued falling from his eyes.

"I'm so sorry Chase, I can't believe that happened. As soon as she comes home just know I'm going to have a talk with her okay? I'm always on your side Chase." Everest said pulling Chase into a comforting hug. Chase laid his head into her chest letting his tears fill her fur. While Everest rubbed Chases back and laid her head on his. She felt so bad for the Shepard, she knew this whole trip has been against him and Skye. She tightened the hug as gave a sisterly nuzzle to his head.

At that point the 2 heard the roof door open again, this time standing by the door was their favorite Dalmatian.

Marshal tilted his head in confusion, but after he noticed Chases wet face he knew something was up. Marshal hugged Chase too, making this into a group hug.

"What happened brother?" Marshal asked softly.

Chase didn't answer he just continued crying into Everest as marshal turned his attention to her.

"I'll fill you in once we get inside marshy" she explained. Marshal simply nodded and continued hugging his brother.

Both of them hated to see Chase like this. They both knew Chase was going through a lot, but Marshal never thought it was this bad. Everest knew of Chases problems so she was more understanding while Marshal was just confused. He's never seen Chase like this before, he's never seen a single tear come from Chases eyes before, so he knew something truly bad had happened. He began thinking about when Chase asked Marshal if he had a dream where someone took Everest away or something happened to her. Marshal now realizing that Chase had been going through so much even before they arrived in Japan.
