Many of the guardians in the galaxy had been continuously attempting to close a recurring blackhole, as it was causing quite the ruckus for some. It was particularly causing a nuisance for Dawn, the guardian who watches over the Solar System's sun. Since the beginning of her existence, she would try time and time again to convince a higher powered guardian to remove it, but they always insisted that it was for the better for it to stay. What confused Dawn is why they thought that way.
"Why won't you just explain to me why it's important for that bothersome blackhole to stay here? Can't you see how many things keep getting taken because of it?" whined Dawn, pleading to a higher guardian for what feels like the millionth time."Your impatience doesn't convince us much farther, Dawn. The most I could discuss with you is that it matters deeply." sighed Nori, the guardian of Mercury. She had heard Dawn's complaints the most, as they are the closest friends. As much as Nori wanted to speak up about it, she and the others had agreed it wasn't the right time, much to Dawn's dismay.
"Hey guys? I think you should go check on that blackhole."
"Hm? What seems to be the matter, Oxide?"
Oxide was the guardian that watched over Mars. Although he looked tough on the outside, with torn clothes and a fiery pattern across his face, he was one of the most collected beings one could meet.
"I may have just overheard a comet passing by, but I heard this kind of warping sound effect. Kind of like traveling to another dimension through a portal." Oxide said, his eyes fixated on the blackhole.
Nori and Dawn glanced over to also watch the blackhole, which was indeed making a warping noise. But when Nori squinted to look closer, she could notice something there. Though it was hard to see, Nori could make out the shape of a head.
"It's beginning! Oxide, go get the others, now!" Nori demanded in excitement.
Oxide immediately parkoured off of passing by asteroids and went off to get the others. Dawn was now more confused than ever."Nori, what's beginning exactly?" Dawn inquired, an intrigued smile across her face.
"Well, since it's occurring, I might as well explain." Nori took a small breath before continuing her sentence. "Over a thousand years ago, me, Oxide, and the other guardians of the Solar System noticed this odd aspect of a blackhole we assumed was normal like the rest. It had constantly made noises as if something were traveling through it, but none of us knew why. But thanks to Lord Callisto, he was able to discover that something had been developing within it."
Nori paused as she noticed Dawn's jaw was wide open. She reached over and closed Dawn's mouth, causing her to snap back to reality.
"How long have you been hiding this from me? Why couldn't I know?"
Nori shook her head from Dawn's question. Dawn sadly had a reputation of accidentally spilling classified information when the time didn't call for it. With the look on Nori's face, Dawn sighed disappointedly, as she immediately picked up why."You still are working on not doing that anymore, yes?"
"Yeah, yeah. I am."
All of a sudden, there was a huge burst of light that came from the blackhole, knocking both Nori and Dawn back. They both collectively groaned as they rubbed their eyes to see. In the blackhole, there was a small, child-like guardian that had been resting inside of it, unfazed and unharmed. And that's when Oxide and the others had returned, they all got to witness it for themselves too. To witness Andromeda awaken for the first time.
