" Uno," MADHAN said, placing the red card .

     I dumped plus 4 with a smirk .

Nandhu, the child of the terrace family, added a plus 4 .

He was the one who lended the cards for me and MADHAN.

MADHAN, with  a smile, dumped his last card of plus 4, which drew all colors from my face.

I dumped the pile of cards in my hand over MADHAN as he won the game .

Nandhu to drop his cards on MADHAN .MADHAN grabbed Nandhu to tickle him, laughing.

I was laughing adoring MADHAN , my cutiee .

When he insisted on leaving, my mom asked him to have dinner as a basic manners.

Iruka edham kodhutha padhuka edham ketta kadhaiya .... MADHAN agreed without any hesitation.

The way my mom looked at me made me know that she had confirmed him as my eluchavayan by herself.

So now we were playing UNO with a terrace tenant kid, and MADHAN won three out of five games .

After UNO we decided to take a walk to the park which is walkable . as dinner will be served by 7 : 30 pm.

We walked in silence, and our hands brushed occasionally with my knowledge, and other times, was it an accident or he planned only God knows.

We both walked into the park, taking about random things like about a sudden fall in gold rate a few days back , an upcoming TNPSC exam , and about college days.

My face lit up when I saw an empty swing.

I sat by myself and tried to swing and succeeded. he took his mobile to capture me.

I posed him by forming heart with my index and thumb, then placing my hand on my cheeks smiling at him.

He put his mobile back and got hold of the swing .he smirking pushing the swing that It paced faster than I was doing.

I laughed and trilled my legs in excitement.

After having enough fun, we decided to get back.

The sudden downpour made us seek shelter on a roadside coffee shop.

It started to get crowded with the ones returning from work and who had plans for the end of the day.

We both moved to a secluded corner side.

I was rubbing my hands to seek warmth .

He scooted away from me only to get two cups of coffee and a corn, which was toasted raw in fire, which was my favorite.

      Aww !! It's my favorite ...  A favorite forever.

There used to be a shop in my street at Theni during my childhood when they used to toast the corn 🌽 in fire as raw . they cover it with the bran leaves of the corn and give it.

A corn would cost 3 rupee then , I used to get ask my grandma to give me 100 rupee as coin as she would give it as a token of love whenever she used to visit me. Now she is no more.

My grandma used to joke that she has to look for a bigger if she wants to give me 100 as change.

I used to keep a note and calculate how much was spent from the 100 and how much was left because my mother used to devise me, telling me that I spent the money already . Truth to be told , even half would have spent.

The raw grilled or toasted corn also has my undieing love, just like MADHAN.

I got it eagerly and had my first bite . It's so hot that my taste buds screamed both in joy and hurt.

I blowed my mouth, waving my left hand in front of my mouth, and my eyes got a little teary.

" Easy.. easy ... " MADHAN wispered with concern. I smiled and tried to take the next bite, but he held my hand and grabbed it, saying, " Let it cool."

" But I love it hot," I saw and took the next bite.

" I too love hot ... " he paused and my eyes popped out on his words while after a pass of 10 second which he took to enjoy the shock written on my countenance,  He completed with the word " coffee " twitching his lip upward in a sinful smirk.

This man is crazy . I am also crazy about him. A match made in heaven ... Ohh sorry In school, I guess.

I suppressed my suspension on him and enjoyed my corn with the rainy weather and the occasional closure of bodies with a warm smile.

I did not know the upcoming tragedy, or should I call our first kiss, which destroyed the newly growing bond in a matter of minute.
