Klein regained his balance in lightning speed, saving him from a harsh fall on the ground and bruised knees. His hands involuntarily reached out to protect them. It was then that Irina finally managed to move and suppress her reaction to that dark aura.

She walked up to him slowly, steadily controlling her spirituality making sure that no sudden flare-ups would occur due to her protection.

'...the True Creator, as they call "Him" now is...'

'Whatever. Klein saw that scene and survived to tell the tale.'

By the time she had reached him, Klein had just stood back up. Through her spirit vision, Klein's spirituality seemed unusually weak. Her eyes trained on his aura, she watched intently as he slowly recovered, not daring to touch him or interrupt what, she was sure of, was a very long train of thought that would help him later on.

'I bet he's lampooning hehe~'

As Klein moved to conclude the ritual with the appropriate procedure Irina tapped him lightly on the shoulder. The seer turned to look at her, she gave him a warm smile and a thumbs-up before stepping back and giving him space.

'He's still alive. My job here is done.'

'And if anyone says I didn't do anything, no they didn't. They're wrong.'

Shortly after he dismantled what he thought was an intact wall of spirituality. With a whoosh, a gust of wind blew as Klein forced himself to look at Sirius's corpse.

'Ew.'

Irina followed his gaze and the two noticed that there was still an obvious wart on Sirius's mangled face. It was a dark purple wart, almost black as there seemed to be liquid and a light gleaming within.

'Gross...'

Klein rubbed his temples, not daring to touch it- What kind of transformation was that?

The History Teacher started fanning herself as she stared at the remains- Judging by what I see of it, I'd say we only have two options. The first one would be some sort of corruption, losing control by listening to what he shouldn't. That black thing could be a dead giveaway. As for the second option, it could have something to do with his sequence. With all of the available Pathways, there's a possibility it's some kind of ability they inherit as they raise their sequence.

'I hope I didn't say too much.'

Irina turned her gaze towards Klein and found him staring right back at her- Though the second option is unlikely, by following the events that led to this, the first one is the most probable. Losing control can happen very easily, losing one's mind should be a regular occurrence for their Pathway. Have you not learned this under Old Neil?

Klein then asked her- I did, but thank you for the refresher. Are there only two options?

Irina smiled behind her fan before shutting it loudly. She took a step forward, towards that bloody mass, and began explaining- There are always more options but only one truth, one sole event. It could have been an artifact but I don't sense any such energy so I crossed this option out.

She turned to look at him and started pointing at the ground around them- There is also the matter of him not having any strange object lying around or in his hands. Had he had any other weapon, he would have posed a much greater threat. He also would not have run away and instead fought on the spot, creating a commotion. For someone like him, in his position, taking in hostages would have been a better choice.

Klein nodded before stalling shortly. His lips curled upwards- I understand, thank you for the lecture.

As he bent over and retrieved his cane, allowing it to bear his weight, Irina felt a strange surge of energy within her, disappearing as soon as it arrived.
