The barrel of Leonard's revolver pointed at her head was too much for Irina to comprehend- It's a shame that poems don't work on you, I could have at least made it painless.

She stared death in the eyes as the click of the gun's safety echoed in her ears, accompanied by his regretful voice- Forgive me.

The once calm atmosphere shifted abruptly, icy gusts of wind blowing as Irina's shocked gaze remained locked on the weapon aimed at her.

'...why.'

The both of them frozen in place, only their hair blowing in the wind, coated by the warm light of the sunset- Can't you bring yourself to pull the trigger?

It was the Poet's turn to be shocked now- ...what?

'"What" my ass.'

Irina's gaze changed to a serious one- You heard me loud and clear. What are you waiting for?

Before Leonard could reply, she continued- Unless you're waiting for some dramatic last words from me, hmm?

His silence was enough of an answer for her. She sighed with annoyance- Sorry, but I'm NOT a fan of the miscommunication trope!

Leonard's face contorted- Now is not the time—

Irina interrupted him- Hey buddy, bro, my man, listen here. Something went very wrong in this conversation, I'm very much pissed, and I've been for the last few days, that's true.

'I don't have any other choice do I?'

She looked him dead in the eyes as she said- But I'm working alone here, you have that little "friend" of yours helping you out. I will NOT say "His" name but let me tell "Him" this.

Leonard's eyes widened- Who are you talki—

'I'd bet my entire fortune it's Pallez's fault we're in this situation.'

Her voice was harsh- No need to beat around the bush. Listen here, if I were to tell you what is causing all of this, the coincidences as well as the upcoming danger, "It" would plan ahead. The more you know "it", the worse "it" knows you.

His confused expression didn't deter her- Now that I said this, the situation will surely become worse. I try not to think too much about it when not in a protected place, but you gave me no choice.

Leonard's confusion was answered in his head with a steady tone "I think I understand, the problem is—"

'Huh? Why did he interrupt himself? Also, how does she know?!'

"I forgot."

The Poet couldn't help but blurt out- What?

"Nothing. I removed my own thoughts to not think about "it"... I did it for our safety, but if she really keeps thinking about that, and knows so much... She's playing with fire."

Irina hadn't uttered a single word since her reveal.

"You still shouldn't fully trust her, but it should be fine for now. She clearly knows more than she lets on. If great danger is coming, then let her prepare what she thinks is needed in advance."

Leonard sighed as he finally lowered his gun- I still don't get it—

Irina finally spoke again- Nor do you have to. It's better for everyone like this, the less people know, the easier It is for me. Now hush. My protection is not omnipotent and I just realized my spirituality is almost completely depleted.

Leonard looked at her for a long time before he spoke again- Soo... You advanced?

'I swear this man will make me go CRAZY!'
