First day of high school is both exciting and nerve-racking. Especially when you are a new student. I was quite nervous, I never wanted to change schools but of course, we need to explore sometimes. I miss my friends, and I miss my old school. But this is it.
I walked through the crowded hallway, seeing friends reunited with their friends and parents bidding farewell to their kids. I finally reached my now-to-be classroom. Upon entering, I was greeted by a girl sitting at her desk with her friends.
I remembered that day. She was the first one to say hi to me. I couldn't help but stare at her for a couple of seconds. She and her friends were a sight to behold but she was the prettiest of all. Her long straight hair, her soft eyes, and her smile.
Another girl came up to me, she was more extroverted and more outgoing. The girl had a grin plastered on her face, as she waved at me.
"Hi! I'm Mary, what's your name?"
"Alexa..."
I muttered my name to Mary, I was more of a shy girl. I was aware of people's judging gazes. And I never wanted to be that person to be trash-talked by people.
"You can sit anywhere you like."
Mary spoke, her tone filled with joy and sunshine as she held her phone in her hand. I quickly chose the nearby chair placed my bag and sat on it. I sat there looking around the classroom, familiarizing my surroundings.
My gaze finally landed on her and her friends, she sat there on her desk, her legs swinging back and forth as she laughed and talked with her friends. I couldn't help but glance at her once in a while. She had caught my attention. Her smile was endearing.
Our advisor came into the room and started the introduction. She told us to form a circle and we took turns saying our name. Her turn came up as he smiled and spoke.
"My name is Julia."
She spoke as she and her friends laughed, clearly enjoying everything.
Julia.
That's her name. It suited her, honestly. I like her smile. It made my heart pound a little faster.
My turn came in as she walked up to me with her phone facing me, clearly recording. I spoke my name and she cheered and clapped her hands before recording the others. I continued to watch her subtly.
The day continued, and all I could say was it was fun. She made it fun. I mean we all made it fun.

Romance"I love her." I spoke looking down at the ground as tears threatened to spill from my eyes. "But does she love you back?..." My friend spoke and that question made me silent. Does she? Yes, but only as a friend.
