The early morning light filtered through the heavy drapes, casting a soft glow over the room. Seraphina lay peacefully asleep, her breathing steady, the gentle rise and fall of her belly showing the life growing within her. Alvin stirred beside her, his eyes fluttering open. A warm smile touched his lips as he watched her sleep, her beauty mesmerizing even in the quiet stillness of dawn.
His hand trailed lightly over her swollen belly, feeling the soft movements of their twins beneath his palm. A surge of love coursed through him. He leaned in closer, pressing gentle kisses to the curve of her belly, his lips trailing lower, brushing against her inner thighs.
Even in her sleep, Seraphina's body responded. She let out a soft moan, her muscles contracting as his kisses grew more deliberate. Alvin smirked against her skin, continuing his slow, sensual path, his lips exploring every inch of her thighs. As he kissed her, he felt the twins stirring inside her, their movements strong and lively.
"Excited, aren't they?" Alvin whispered, feeling the rhythmic movements beneath his touch. His hand slid gently over her belly as her body arched slightly in response to the sensations he was creating.
Without hesitation, Alvin entered her, feeling her body respond instinctively, even in sleep. Seraphina stirred, her eyes fluttering open as a soft gasp escaped her lips. "Alvin..." she murmured sleepily, her voice full of warmth and surprise.
He leaned over her, grinning. "Good morning, sweetie pie," he whispered, his voice rich with affection. He kissed her belly, then moved up, kissing the swell of her breasts. His lips found her nipples, and he teased them gently, sucking and nibbling until Seraphina let out soft moans of pleasure. His lips continued their journey, moving to her neck, and finally capturing her lips in a slow, lingering kiss.
Seraphina's hands found his hair, tugging him closer as the sensation overwhelmed her. She could feel the excitement building within her, the pleasure coursing through her as Alvin's movements became more purposeful. He shifted slightly, allowing her to come undone in his arms, her body trembling with release.
Alvin smiled down at her, his eyes filled with warmth and love. "Let's get you ready for your appointment," he said softly, helping her sit up slowly. He was always gentle with her, especially now that she was nearing the final months of her pregnancy.
After helping her dress, Alvin kissed her forehead and guided her to the doctor's chamber where the family physician awaited them.
The doctor, an older man with a calm demeanour, greeted them warmly as they settled into the room. "Good morning, Seraphina, Alvin," he said with a nod. "Let's take a look at how your little ones are doing."Seraphina lay back as the physician prepared the scan. The magic-infused device glowed softly, sending warm pulses over her belly. The image of their twins appeared on the screen, two tiny figures nestled together. Alvin and Seraphina's eyes widened in awe as they watched their babies moving gently.
"They're strong," the doctor remarked, his voice full of reassurance. "Very active and growing well. It's rare to see twin lycans, but you both are handling this exceptionally well."
Seraphina reached for Alvin's hand, squeezing it tightly as she looked at their twins. A tear escaped her eye, overwhelmed by the sight of their children. "They're beautiful," she whispered.
Alvin kissed her hand, his own eyes filled with pride. "They are. Just like their mother."The doctor continued with his scan, nodding in approval. "Everything looks good, but keep in mind, Seraphina, lycan births are typically difficult, especially for non-lycan mothers. It's going to be tough. The twins might come slightly early, so I'd estimate about two more months before they're ready."
Seraphina took a deep breath, bracing herself for the challenges ahead. "Two more months..." she whispered, feeling both the anticipation and the anxiety of what was to come.
Alvin turned to the doctor, his protective instincts kicking in. "Don't worry," he said confidently. "We'll be ready. I'll be here every step of the way, and we'll bring our puppies into the world together."
The doctor smiled faintly, though his eyes carried a warning. "Just remember, the pain of a Lycan birth can't be managed by magic or medicine. It's too raw, too primal. I'm sorry, Seraphina, but you'll have to go through it without any relief."
Seraphina's heart clenched, but she met Alvin's gaze, finding comfort in his unwavering support. "Well," she said softly, a brave smile on her lips, "as long as I have you, that's all that matters."Alvin squeezed her hand tightly. "You do. Always."
After the appointment, Alvin walked Seraphina back to their room, ensuring she was settled comfortably before he headed out to the training grounds. The day ahead would be gruelling, but he knew that each session brought them closer to readiness, both for the arrival of their twins and the impending war.The pack was gathered, eager and tense, awaiting Alvin's commands. He stood before them, his presence commanding respect. "We're getting closer," he began, his voice steady but powerful. "Two more months, and we'll be launching our attack. We need to be stronger, faster, and sharper than ever."
Alvin led the pack through a series of intense drills, pushing them to their limits. They practised combat manoeuvres, hand-to-hand fighting, and strategic formations, all designed to prepare them for the upcoming battle. His focus was unwavering, his mind locked on the dual responsibilities that weighed heavily on him—protecting his family and leading his pack to victory.
As the day wore on, the intensity of the training increased. Alvin pushed the pack harder, knowing that the time was drawing near. The physical and emotional weight of both the upcoming birth and the war hung over him, but he refused to let it deter him.
When the day finally came to an end, Alvin's muscles ached, but his resolve remained as strong as ever. He knew that every bit of training brought them closer to success, and every day that passed brought him closer to holding his children in his arms.
