The End

The Message

     Danny never really checks his DMs anymore, but ever since posting his goodbye video, he's been curious to see what people sent him. After looking through messages varying from "I can't believe you would do this Danny!", "I'm really upset, but I understand.", and "Hey! We're a small business...", he found a message that intrigued him. It was sent two weeks ago and said: 

     -Hi Danny, I'm not sure if you will even see this but I figured it was worth a shot. After you posted your goodbye video, my friend Kayla was devastated. She's been a fan forever, and the news was a bit of a shock to her, even though she might've seen it coming. She passed out after watching it and now she's in a coma. I know that this isn't your fault, and I am not trying to guilt you into coming back, I totally understand why you did it. But I wanted to ask if you could come see her, as like, a Make-A-Wish thing because the doctors aren't so sure that she'll wake up. If there's one thing that's been more constant than me in her life, it would be you. Anyway. I hope you see this.

     Danny couldn't believe what he was reading. He caused a fan to get hurt? Even though the messenger, Kaitlynn, said it wasn't, he felt as though it was. Kaitlynn sent the message so long ago and he was wishing that he wasn't too late. He quickly responded and hoped that Kaitlynn would answer.

     -I am so sorry to hear that that happened! I can't help but feel like it is my fault though. Anything I can do, I'll do it.

     -OMG. I can't believe that you responded. It's NOT your fault. I'm pretty sure there was some underlying thing that caused it, and her seeing your video was just a trigger. I know she would've loved the chance to come to see you, she went to as many shows as she could hoping for the chance to, even going to shows of Kurtis' and Drew's hoping that you might be there. I'm sure she could rest happy knowing that you came to meet her if it's possible.

     -Of course, send me any details. I will make arrangements ASAP.

      Kaitlynn couldn't believe this. If only the circumstances were different. Danny Gonalez was coming HERE to see her best friend and she wouldn't even be awake for it. Kait sat next to Kayla and held her hand.

     "So, you won't believe this. I messaged Danny a few weeks ago and he responded!" She said quietly in Kayla's ear. "He's coming here to see you. I just wish you could be awake to see him. I know you would lose your shit." Kaitlynn started crying silently and her brain was circling with thoughts that her best friend was dying.
