Awake

     Kayla's eyes opened slowly, partially because they were hard to open after having them closed for two weeks, but mostly because she wasn't sure if she was dreaming or not.

     'Are they really in my room? Are they really talking to me?' Kayla thought to herself. She tried to speak but couldn't. Kaitlynn ran to get the doctors, and they rushed everyone out of the room as they ran tests.

     "I can't believe she's awake. And it's because of you guys!" Kaitlynn said, pacing the waiting room excitedly.

     "I don't think it was because of us," Kurtis said. Drew nodded in agreement.

     "It's probably because you stood by her side all this time," Danny said. And of course that was true, but Kaitlynn felt that it was some kind of fate or something that Kayla would wake up after hearing her three favorite men in the room with her,

     Once they were allowed back in the room, Danny immediately went up to Kayla and held her hand again, this time Kayla could hold his back.

     "I'm so sorry," Danny said. Kayla shook her head and was about to say something, but Danny spoke first. "I can't believe that my announcing that I was quitting YouTube was the reason that you ended up like this."

     Kayla chuckled lightly. "No, that wasn't it, I don't think. Kait's been badgering me to go to the doctor and I think that I had like an anxiety attack or something when I saw your video. It's not your fault Danny." She looked into his baby blue eyes and took the time to soak up the fact that he was there. She looked at him up and down, his hair still hazel, but with more gray in it than it was when she first started watching him. She then looked at Drew, his hair brown again after having it blonde for so long. She thought to herself that they actually don't look as similar as they do online in person. She looked at Kurtis, his hair still as curly as ever, but his mustache bigger and he had a beard now. "I just can't believe you're all here!" They all smiled at her, happy that she was okay. Kaitlynn was asleep on the small couch in the room, her first sound sleep in over two weeks after knowing that her friend was okay. The boys came up to her and each planted a kiss on her face; Danny on her forehead, and Drew and Kurtis on each of her cheeks.
