     Kaitlynn met Danny outside of the room, and after fangirling a bit, she explained to Danny what Kayla's condition was. She told him that Kayla could hear and feel but her eyes were closed and she had a tube down her throat. Kait of course tried to clean up her best friend and make her look as pretty as she possibly could, all things considered, because she knew that's what her best friend would want. The two of them walked into the room and Kaitlynn stayed behind a bit as Danny walked to the side of the bed.

     "Hey Greg," Danny said sadly, placing his hand on Kayla's. Kayla's heart was rapidly getting faster, and the machines in the room were going off like crazy.

     "Oh my god. She knows it's you. OMG. OMG." Kaitlynn started crying from happiness, hoping that this was a sign that her friend wouldn't die.

     "I wish this situation was different," Danny started, still holding Kayla's hand. "For me, for you. I would never think in a million years that this is how I'm meeting one of my fans. And I bet that you never thought that you would be meeting me like this. But I have a surprise."

     Suddenly there was a knock at the door. Kaitlynn opened it, and it was Kurtis Conner and Drew Gooden standing there with flowers. Kaitlynn couldn't believe her eyes and had to sit down. The boys came up to the bed.

     "Hey guy." Drew said softly, placing a hand on Kayla's leg comfortingly. Kayla's eyes started to flutter.

     "Folks," Kurtis said solemnly, placing his hand on Kayla's other hand. Kayla's fingers started wiggling.
