Lan Wangji sat in the wedding chambers, situated in the depths of the Burial Mound, the Patriarch's residence. The silence was oppressive, the only sound the soft rustling of the wind through the intricate carvings that adorned the walls. His thoughts were a jumble of emotions, as he stared at the intricate designs on the walls, his mind replaying the events of the wedding ceremony.

Why had he agreed to this union? Was it truly a strategic alliance, or was it something more? Lan Wangji's heart was filled with uncertainty, his mind racing with the implications of their bond.

He thought back to the moment when Wei Wuxian had wiped his blood on Lan Wangji's cheek, the mark of ownership still lingering on his skin. It was a subtle reminder of the bond that now existed between them, a bond that Lan Wangji couldn't quite understand.

As the hours ticked by, Lan Wangji's anxiety grew. He couldn't shake off the feeling that something was amiss. He had expected the Patriarch to arrive promptly, but it seemed that Wei Wuxian had other plans.

Lan Wangji's mind was preoccupied with thoughts of the wedding night, and what it would entail. He had never been with a man before, and the prospect of sharing a bed with the powerful Patriarch was both thrilling and terrifying.

As he waited, Lan Wangji sensed a presence lurking just out of sight. He felt a shiver run down his spine, but he paid it little attention. His mind was too consumed by thoughts of Wei Wuxian and their impending union.

The darkness outside seemed to press in on him, making him feel claustrophobic. Lan Wangji rose from his seat and began to pace, his footsteps echoing through the chamber. He couldn't shake off the feeling of being watched, but he couldn't see anyone.

As Wei Wuxian entered the wedding chambers, his presence filling the room. Lan Wangji's eyes widened as he took in the sight of the Patriarch. Wei Wuxian reeked of alcohol, his eyes gleaming with a fierce light.

Lan Wangji's anxiety grew as he watched Wei Wuxian approach him. He had expected the Patriarch to be composed and dignified, but instead, he seemed... unpredictable.

Wei Wuxian didn't offer any apology for his tardiness or his state. He simply walked up to Lan Wangji, his eyes burning with intensity.

"You're waiting for me," Wei Wuxian stated, his voice low and husky.

Lan Wangji nodded, his heart pounding in his chest. "I am."

Wei Wuxian's gaze seemed to bore into his soul, as if searching for something. Lan Wangji felt a shiver run down his spine, but he stood his ground.

Without another word, Wei Wuxian reached out and grasped Lan Wangji's wrist. His touch sent shivers down Lan Wangji's spine, and he felt a spark of electricity run through his body.

Lan Wangji's eyes met Wei Wuxian's, and he saw something there that he couldn't quite decipher. It was a mixture of curiosity, intensity, and... something else.

Wei Wuxian's grip on his wrist tightened, and Lan Wangji felt himself being drawn closer to the Patriarch. He could smell the alcohol on Wei Wuxian's breath, and his heart skipped a beat as he realized that he was at the Patriarch's mercy.

The silence between them was oppressive, the only sound of the soft rustling of the wind through the carvings on the walls. Lan Wangji felt like he was being tested, like Wei Wuxian was probing his limits.

Suddenly, Wei Wuxian released his wrist, and Lan Wangji stumbled backward, his heart racing. The Patriarch's eyes seemed to gleam with satisfaction, and Lan Wangji felt a sense of trepidation.

Without another word, Wei Wuxian turned and disappeared into the shadows, leaving Lan Wangji feeling bewildered and unsure of what to expect.

Lan Wangji stood there, his heart still racing from the sudden release. He couldn't shake off the feeling that Wei Wuxian had been testing him, probing his limits. But for what purpose?

He took a deep breath and tried to calm himself down. He had to remember that he was now bound to the Patriarch, and he had to navigate this new dynamic.

As he looked around the chamber, he noticed that the room was dimly lit, the only sound the soft rustling of the wind through the windows. The atmosphere was oppressive, and Lan Wangji felt a sense of unease.

Suddenly, he heard the sound of footsteps echoing through the corridor outside. The door slid open, and a servant entered, carrying a tray of dinner with a cup of tea.

"The Patriarch's instructions," the servant said, bowing low. "He has sent you this dinner , young master lan."

Lan Wangji's eyes narrowed as he took in the spread before him. The dinner was simple yet elegant, tea, too, seemed to be a usual blend, with a fragrance that filled the room. Was this some kind of test?

He lifted the cup to his lips and took a sip. The tea was bitter, with a hint of sweetness. Lan Wangji's thoughts were a jumble of emotions as he tried to decipher the Patriarch's intentions.

As he ate and drank, Lan Wangji's thoughts became increasingly confused. Why was the Patriarch being so... Mysterious? Hadn't he just been testing him, pushing him to his limits?

The dinner was exquisite, and the tea seemed to be having a calming effect on him. But Lan Wangji's mind was a jumble of emotions, as he tried to make sense of Wei Wuxian's enigmatic behavior.

As he drank the tea, he couldn't help but think about Wei Wuxian. What was the Patriarch's plan? Why had he chosen Lan Wangji as his partner? The tea seemed to be having an usual effect on him. Lan Wangji's thoughts became clearer, his mind focusing on the events of the past few days.

He thought about the war against the Wen Clan, the role he had played in it, and the consequences of his actions. As the tea took hold, Lan Wangji's thoughts turned to Wei Wuxian. He remembered the way the Patriarch had looked at him, the intensity in his eyes. He recalled the way Wei Wuxian had touched him, the spark of electricity that had run through his body, and then today's behaviour.

The hours ticked by, and the chamber grew darker, the shadows deepening. Lan Wangji sat there, lost in thought, his mind consumed by thoughts of Wei Wuxian and their mysterious union.

He couldn't shake off the feeling that the Patriarch was playing a game with him, testing his limits and pushing him to his boundaries. But why?

As the night wore on, the silence in the chamber became oppressive, the only sound the soft rustling of the wind . Lan Wangji's thoughts were a jumble of emotions, as he tried to make sense of Wei Wuxian's actions.

He thought about the tea, and the way it had seemed to clarify his thoughts. He thought about the dinner, and the way it had filled his stomach with warmth. He thought about Wei Wuxian, and the way he had looked at him, the intensity in his eyes.

But Lan Wangji's mind was still reeling from the events of the past few days. He was confused, unsure of what to make of the Patriarch's behavior. He didn't know what Wei Wuxian wanted from him, or what the future held.

The chamber was silent, the only sound the soft rustling of the wind through the carvings on the walls. Lan Wangji sat there, lost in thought, as the night wore on.

Suddenly, he heard a faint noise, a soft rustling sound coming from the corridor outside. Lan Wangji's heart skipped a beat as he wondered if it was Wei Wuxian, returning to the chamber.

But the noise stopped, and the silence returned. Lan Wangji sat there, his heart pounding in his chest, as he waited for something to happen.

And then, he felt it. That same sensation he had felt earlier, the feeling of being watched. Lan Wangji's skin prickled with unease as he scanned the chamber, his eyes searching for any sign of movement.

He saw nothing, but the feeling persisted. It was as if someone was standing just out of sight, watching him. Lan Wangji's heart raced with anticipation, his mind wondering if it was Wei Wuxian, or someone else entirely.

The night wore on, and the chamber grew darker, the shadows deepening. Lan Wangji sat there, lost in thought, as the silence of the night consumed him.
