After the intense gym class, Yn and her friends made their way to the cafeteria, laughter and chatter filling the air. As they approached, the Kookie Group suddenly bounded over, their energy contagious.
Fan Girl1:"Congratulations, Yn and Jungkook!" one of them exclaimed, holding out a plushie that resembled both Yn and Jungkook, complete with matching outfits.
Yn's eyes widened in shock and confusion as the plushie was thrust into her hands. "What is this?" she questioned, her cheeks flushing. The Kookie Group giggled and quickly ran off, leaving her standing there, bewildered.
Y/N:"Seriously, what just happened?" Yn muttered, looking at Lily and Yeosang. They erupted into fits of laughter.
YEOSANG:"You two are officially a thing now!" Yeosang teased, nudging her playfully. Y/N:"I'm not falling for him, you know," Yn insisted, crossing her arms defiantly. Y/N:"I mean, he just rescued me from the bus, that's all!" Just then, she heard Jungkook's voice calling her from behind. JUNGKOOK:"Yn!" he said, his tone serious.
Yn turned around, feeling a mix of curiosity and apprehension. "What's It?" she asked, her heart racing. "Can we talk somewhere else?"He asked. "Okay," she nodded, following him as he led the way.
[**A Moment in the Hallway**:] Once in a quieter hallway, Jungkook paused and took a deep breath. "I hope I'm not causing you any trouble," he said, looking a bit anxious."Um, it's not like that," Yn reassured him, sensing his nervousness.
"Thanks," he replied, visibly relaxing. "What I wanted to ask is... can you come watch my game this weekend?", Yn's eyes widened in surprise.:"You really want me to come?" she stuttered, feeling her cheeks heat up. "Yeah, but it's okay if you don't want to," he added quickly, sensing her hesitation.
"No, no! It's not like that at all!" she interrupted, feeling flustered. "I mean, I would like to. I've never been to one of your games before, so yeah, sure!" Jungkook's face lit up with excitement, and he turned around to wink at his friends, who were watching from a distance, cheering him on silently.
[**An Unexpected Interruption**:] Just as the moment felt perfect, Jungkook's ex-girlfriend, Yeji, appeared at the end of the hallway. YEJI:"Oh, so you're not going to invite me too?" she said, her tone dripping with sarcasm. Jungkook's expression shifted to annoyance.
"Well, you should tell your boyfriend to take you," he replied curtly, trying to brush her off. Yeji smirked. "You're the one who's going to play. And who is this? Your new girlfriend?" Yn felt her stomach drop, nervousness washing over her. Jungkook quickly shot back, "Whatever she is, it's none of your business". "Oh, so she is your girlfriend?" Yeji pressed, her eyes glinting with mischief.
"Yeji, she's my friend," Jungkook said firmly, trying to put an end to her probing. "Don't let her bother you, Yn." Yn nodded, trying to shake off the uncomfortable feeling as Yeji sauntered away, leaving a tense atmosphere behind her. "Let's go find Lily and Yeosang," Yn suggested, eager to escape the awkwardness.
[**In the Cafeteria**:] As they entered the cafeteria, Yn spotted Lily and Yeosang at their usual table. They waved her over, and she hurried to join them, still clutching the plushie gift from the Kookie Group.
LILY:"Wow, did you see the way Jungkook stood up to his ex?" Lily exclaimed, eyes wide with excitement. "That was so cool!", Yn felt a mix of appreciation and confusion. "I guess?" she replied, still processing the encounter. "He's just a friend, though." Yeosang raised an eyebrow. "Right, just a friend who's asking you to come watch him play. Sounds like he likes you!" . . . . . End of chapter 4
