"Is that what the bed is for?" I glanced at his neatly made bed. "No." He said straightforwardly. "What's it for?" I looked at his large hand that stayed still on my waist. "Where else would I possibly sleep." He let out a deep chuckle. "Oh, that makes sense." I snickered. What else should I say? This is awkward. Do I get up? "You seem to have the qualifications as a princess club member." He examined me. "Well, I'm not joining the club so no thanks." I hopped off his lap and sat in my seat across the desk.

"I won't force you." He entwined his fingers together. "If you did I'd sue your ass in the ground. Besides all that, can you let Desmond go from wherever you're holding him?" I cleared my throat and tried sounding as professional as I could. "It's the policy to hold students in the discipline and detention center when breaking school rules." He rested his hand on his chin. "Please?" I shrugged. "What would I get in return, Mr. Blake?" He stared me in my eyes. "A high five?" I gave him a side-eye.

"How about you become the student council president? Every student rejects this kind of opportunity." He tapped his pointer finger on his desk. "Maybe they're avoiding it for a reason. Should I be avoiding it too?" I asked skeptically. "No, your role won't be like an ordinary student president, but you'll work under me in a way to represent your other student peers." He tried to dumb it down to my level. "So the principals' pet? What do I get out of that besides Desmond's freedom?" I started to consider taking the offer.

"I'll allow you to bend your class schedule, and attend whenever you like, you can show up late as long as you show up for more than 15 minutes. Every school activity is free, and you can extend your holidays an extra three days, and bring anyone you choose." He ended his sentence with a heartfelt smile. "Sign me up." I smiled ear to ear like the Grinch. "All you have to do is get some parts of your hair dyed red in any way you like, and wear a badge stating your importance at all times. I'll be sending a referral to all staff members." I tapped my chin and nodded.

"Meh, sounds good to me. GIMME!" I said impatiently. He had an evil-looking smile but I didn't care. He stood up and guided me to the bathroom he had in the far right corner of his room, grabbing the unopened hair dye bottle. "How would you like it?" He rolled up his sleeves and put on black gloves. "give me a peekaboo and a medium-sized strand in the front." I showed him. He nodded and continued to wash my hair. This is kinda weird.

"Done." He turned off the blow dryer and ran his fingers through my hair. I looked in the mirror and stared at my beauty. "I look so hot." I flipped my bouncy curls around until I started shaking up a headache. My hair is thick and kind of long, almost blinding my eyesight. "The badge sir." Mr. Lee bowed his head and handed me my badge that read, 'Student President, Rylyn Blake' with my picture on it. "Sweet." I nodded slowly with a big grin. "Here's my number. Come when I call you." He gave me a slip of paper. "Oh and burn it when you add and text me." He slid his hands in his pockets.

"Why?" I questioned. "Some students found my number and confessed their desires for me in a way a student shouldn't." He made an unpleased face and frowned. "They sent you ass pics?!" I went wide-eyed and my mouth dropped. "We don't speak of it, they were expelled." He walked away and went to lay on his bed. "We're like the best of friends now. What's your first name?" I stood on the steps of his bed. "I will not befriend a student. That's not appropriate for my workplace.

"Yeah yeah, whatever...Ray." I held up a document. He shot up from his bed stormed to me and snatched the paper. "AH!" I winced at the deep paper cut. "You're crossing the line. Leave." He gritted his teeth. "Damn it Ray, I'm bleeding." I sucked on my finger and flicked him off. "Leave, now." He sighed and held the bridge of his nose. "Alright alright, I'll be back." I spoke with my finger in my mouth walked down the stairs and left the office. When are they letting go of Desmond? I miss him.

"Woah." I heard murmuring voices and looked up from my phone. Everyone was staring at me. "Look at his hair." They looked horrified and some looked shocked. I inhaled before I yelled. "WHAT?!" My loud voice echoed. They flinched and some started to speedwalk away, some continued to stare before going on with their day. I like this. I walked through the halls and went to my room to go to the shared kitchen. I then added the principal's number in my contacts under the name of 'Shitty Ray' and burned the paper with a lighter I picked up and let it burn in the sink before turning the sink on so the ashes could flow down the drain.

I wonder what he's gonna call me for. I texted him and said 'ur fav accomplice'. He responded with a thumbs-up right away. The room door opened and then slammed closed. I didn't care since I was too happy with my new power and privilege. A pair of hands snaked up my waist and hugged me from behind. "Des?" I turned to look but he held my head in place so I couldn't see him. "Yeah." He spoke softly in my neck. "You fuck with the new hairdo?" I elbowed him. "Hm?" He backed up and I turned around so he could see the red strand.

He looked and not even a second after the color from his face drained. "You're joking. Tell me you're fucking joking." He touched the colored part of my hair and looked at me worriedly. "What's the issue with doing something so cool? I have cool perks so I don't see the problem." I started getting mad and swatted his hand away. "You don't know what you're getting into. He bribes people with the things they want in return for doing his dirty work and filling them up with false hopes. Some people always end up regretting it." He tried to convince me.

"Are you speaking from experience or just from something you heard?" I glared at him in anger. He didn't say anything and continued to look at me with worry. "Don't say anything to me unless you're supporting me, this could be the best thing that's happened to me since I got here." I shoved past him and walked away. I tied my hair up in a half up half down, leaving my bangs in my face, using the hair tie that was on my wrist. I'm going to shower and calm down, it's nothing deep so it shouldn't matter.
