PROLOGUE

This is Auradon, the kingdom where ALL your favorite fairytales are true.

It was formed 30 years ago, when Beast married Belle, and how do you think they got all those characters to co-exist?

Simple, by banishing the villains to the Isle of the Lost.

That's where I grew up. You might know my name, UMA, daughter of the Big Bad Sea-witch Ursula, and a pirate-queen, not to be messed with.

I helped Mal and Ben free the Isle, and nowthat they're on the throne, things are a lot more fair around here, but they're sailingoff with Jay and Evie on a new adventure, forming alliances with distant lands,and guess who they left in charge while they're gone?

Haha, that's right, villains rule, and you can bet I'm gonna shake things up around here

Uma barged into her office with a smile wider than the Mississippi. She laughed. 'I've been to the Principal's office BEFORE, but never like this'.

TheFairy Godmother greeted her and welcomed her to sit down, saying that she madethem tea, and then reminding Uma that being Auradon Prep's new principal wouldnot be an easy job, as she wished her luck, and said that she hoped she foundit fulfilling, nonetheless.

Uma laughed. The FairyGodmother's antiques were hilarious to the pirate queen. 'I've run a cruelcut-throat since I was sixteen. I think I can handle a few prep school kids'.She paused to sip her tea, and then called, 'PIRATES!', as her crew barged in,and started to turn the office into something more to the new Principal's liking.

They hung a pirate flag to cover the books, and decorated the tables with skulls,turning the office into the kind of place Uma would hang out.

When she told the Fairy Godmother not to worry, and to simply enjoy her retirement, the fairy argued with her that she wasn't retiring, but rather was chosen as the new Principal of Auradon University.

'And to ensure a seamless transition', she continued. 'I have prepared a list, color-coded, by priority.

'My first order of business...', Uma said, her voice sharp and powerful enough to have all eyes on her. 'Will be making sure kids from ALL the kingdoms are welcome to attend A.P'.

The Fairy Godmother reminded her that that was already their school policy, but Uma gave her a look that screamed, 'Haha-I-don't-think-you-fully-understood-me'.

'I said ALL'.

The woman nodded.

'Even Wonderland'. 

In that moment, the Fairy Godmother understood what Uma meant, and immediately tried to shut her down, saying that Wonderland was hostile, and that when they invited them to join Auradon, their Queen raised an army, forcing Auradon to seal off the rabbit hole.

She then started panicking and silently wished that King Ben and Queen Mal were there, and Uma sassily reminded her that they weren't, and that they left her in charge for a reason.

'No offense Fairy G, but you don't know Ben and Mal like I do. I used to hate Mal, I'm sure you've heard, but you know what happened? We reconciled, we saw the goodness in each other, and she and Ben finally opened up the Isle, they gave all the villains a second chance, it's time Wonderland got one too'

She pulled a fancy letter out of her jacket, saying it was for Princess Red. The Fairy Godmother also realized then that Uma already had the whole thing planned out.
