Chapter 1

Alexander is a 22-year-old university student known to be clever, intelligent and quite nerdy. He is about halfway through studying for his bachelor's degree in science and technology. Alex has light brown spiked hair with an undercut, forest green eyes, and is currently wearing blue denim jeans, a grey shirt with a plain white skull printed on it, black boots, many coloured bracelets on the right wrist and a watch on the left, along with a dark blue lanyard with many relatable and funny pins that holds his university student ID, and lastly, sometimes he wears round black-framed glasses usually for reading and looking at screens. They look almost like Harry Potter's.

Right now, Alex is walking up to the bus stop on his way back to the dorm buildings with a whole lot of thoughts floating in the back of his mind. It has been a heavy weight on his shoulders lately and he is not really sure how to handle it. He has never shared to anyone about these thoughts because he does not want to be a burden dumping his personal problems on people.

Alex is confused when it comes to his sexuality. His mind is just on a constant loop of 'Are you straight, are you gay, are you bisexual?', the list goes on...

A whole lot of people at Oakcross University seem to have a significant other of some kind. Noticeably all are straight couples, so it's rare to see anyone who is in a queer/LGBTQIA+ relationship.

The bus finally arrives and Alex steps on tapping his student card. As he walks down the narrow hallway of the bus, he notices a couple of his friends waving for his attention.
"Alex, hey!" One of the girls waves at him.

She has golden brown coloured eyes and dark brown hair with a fringe tied up into messy space buns accompanied by light blue ribbons. She has freckles and a beauty spot on the right side of her chin. She is currently wearing a blue shirt with one side off the shoulder matching her hair ribbons and black ripped jeans with a dark blue jacket tied around her waist, black and white Converse, a various amount of silver jewellery such as big round hoop earrings, necklaces and a black choker, rings and bracelets on both wrists.

"Hey, Jonah! Good to see you. How was your day?" Alex responds with a smile on his face sitting in the empty ugly blue-patterned bus seat in front of them.

"Ugh don't even get me started! Emily argued with the math teacher again because her homework answers were incorrect!" Jonah explains as Emily turns her head looking at her.
Emily has dark brown hair and brown eyes like Jonah, except Emily's hair is longer and has no fringe. Her hair is currently in two braids and is wearing a Twenty One Pilots printed black hoodie and a short navy skirt accompanied by fishnets and black boots. The only jewellery she is wearing is big gold hoop earrings and a couple of chain bracelets.

"HEY. It just goes to show that the teacher is bad at their job." Emily flairs her nose turns her head toward the bus window she is sitting beside, crosses her arms and shuts her eyes.

Jonah leans forward to Alex putting a hand beside her mouth and whisper shouts, "more like she wasn't paying attention again!"

"I so was paying attention, Jo!" Emily responds as she turns back facing both her friends.

"Sure, Em." Jonah laughs and winks sticking her tongue out at Emily still with crossed arms and rolling her eyes.

Alex just laughs but is cut off now shifting his attention to the sudden noise of everyone's phone pinging on the bus including his own. He grabs his phone out of his pocket to find what all the commotion is about. The noise of chatter and excitement begins to rise in the bus.

"Hmm?" Alex tilts his head slightly looking at the notification and proceeding to open it.

Jonah starts to read out the message now displayed on her phone, "In celebration of completing final week exams, Hailey is hosting a disco party this coming Saturday at 6 pm."
Emily raises a brow and continues to read the message aloud, "also says here that there's gonna be some people from other universities being invited too. Damn, that's gonna be a massive party."
