Chapter 9: Roxy's rage

Roxy stormed into Shawn's office, her eyes blazing with anger. "So you think you can just cheat on me and get away with it?" she spat, her voice venomous.

Shawn stood up, trying to calm her down. "Roxy, please listen to me..."

But Roxy wasn't having it. "No, you listen to me," she interrupted, her voice rising. "I went to the studio for my photoshoot, and my makeup artist saw you and that...that...slut together. She told me everything."

Shawn sighed, trying to think of a way to spin the situation. "Roxy, it was just a mistake. It didn't mean anything."

Roxy laughed, a cold, mirthless sound. "A mistake? You call that a mistake? You were f***ing her in my house, Shawn. My house!"

Shawn took a step back, trying to defuse the situation. "Roxy, please. Let's talk about this calmly."

But Roxy was beyond reason. "You're a liar, Shawn. You're a cheat. And you're going to pay for what you did."

Shawn's eyes narrowed. "What are you going to do, Roxy? Try to ruin my reputation?"

Roxy smiled, a cruel smile. "Oh, I'll do more than that. I'll make sure you lose everything. Your business, your friends, your reputation. You'll be left with nothing."

Shawn snorted. "You're just angry, Roxy. You'll calm down and realize you're overreacting."

But Roxy just laughed again. "You have no idea what I'm capable of, Shawn. You have no idea what I'll do to you."

And with that, she turned and stormed out of the office, leaving Shawn feeling uneasy and unsure of what was to come.

As Shawn sat at his desk, trying to compose himself after the unexpected confrontation with Roxy, he couldn't shake off the feeling of unease. He knew he had played with fire by cheating on her, but he had never expected her to find out. He thought she was over it after getting Emily fired, but it was clear to him that she was only doing a warm up, for her real revenge was still loading. And now, she was threatening to make his life miserable.

Just as he was trying to focus on the task at hand, his phone rang. It was Emily, calling to ask for clarification on the profiles of the footballers who would be visiting the showroom the next day. Shawn tried to sound calm and collected, but he couldn't help but feel a sense of distraction.

As he hung up the phone, he couldn't help but think about Roxy's parting words - "This isn't over." He knew he had to be careful, but he couldn't help but feel a sense of arrogance. He was Shawn, the king of the car dealership, and no one could bring him down.

But little did he know, Roxy was just the tip of the iceberg. Emily, his new marketing director, was going to bring more trouble and drama in his life.

As Emily laid in bed, trying to drift off to sleep, After a tiring day at work, her phone suddenly rang, shrill in the silence of the night. She groaned, not wanting to answer it, but something compelled her to pick up. And of course, it was Shawn.

"Emily, I hope I'm not disturbing you," he said, his voice smooth as silk, but with an underlying tone of annoyance.

She rubbed my eyes, trying to shake off the sleep. "No, it's fine. Is there a problem, Boss?"

"I just wanted to go over the profiles of the footballers one more time, and you don't have to call me boss when we're not at work" he said, his voice dripping with condescension. "I know you're new, but I expect you to be on top of this."

I sighed inwardly, feeling a surge of frustration. Couldn't he see I was trying my best? "Okay, fine. What specifically do you want me to go over?"

"Their preferences, their interests, their buying history," he rattled off, his voice growing more agitated by the second. "I need you to know everything about them if you're going to sell them those cars."

She nodded, even though he couldn't see her. "Got it. I'll review everything again. You have a weird way of showing affection" Emily said out loud out of frustration

"What do u mean by that? Anyways See that you do," he snapped, and then hung up the phone.

She lay there for a moment, feeling a mix of emotions. Anger, frustration, but also a hint of fear. What if she couldn't do this? What if she failed?

But she pushed those thoughts aside and got out of bed. She had work to do.

The following day, as Emily sat at her desk, poring over the profiles, she couldn't help but feel a sense of unease. Shawn was breathing down her neck, and she knew she had to deliver. But what if she couldn't? What if she wasn't good enough?

The doubts crept in, making her mind race with worst-case scenarios. But she pushed them aside, focusing on the task at hand. She would do this. She would make it work. No matter what.

The next day, the footballers arrived at the showroom, and Emily was ready. She had studied their profiles, and she knew exactly what to say to make them buy. But as she began her pitch, Shawn couldn't help but notice the way she interacted with the clients. She was confident, charming, and persuasive. And he found himself feeling a pang of jealousy.

As the day went on, Shawn watched as Emily worked her magic. She sold car after car, and the footballers left the showroom happy and satisfied. But Shawn couldn't shake off the feeling that something was off. He couldn't quite put his finger on it, but he knew that Emily was hiding something.
