In the main house, Ling helped Nanny Aomm prepare vegetables and ingredients for dinner.

"Grandma just saw Orm's face for the first time, and I can feel that she already has mercy on her and adores this kid so much," Ling said, her tone tinged with frustration.

"But Orm is really adorable! Plus, she graduated in agricultural studies. Grandma is definitely interested in her. If she's hardworking and patient, Grandma will adore her even more," Nanny Aomm teased, a smile playing on her lips.

"Nanny Aomm!" Ling exclaimed, her irritation growing.

"Yes?" Nanny Aomm replied, feigning innocence.

"Will I be less important?" Ling asked, crossing her arms.

"Probably," Nanny Aomm said, still teasing.

Just then, Grandma Sari walked in. "Nanny Aomm, don't forget to cook for Orm too."

"Okay, Grandma," Nanny Aomm replied.

"Why don't you let her cook for herself like the other grandchildren? That way, we can see how good she is. Who's going to deliver food to her for every meal?" Ling suggested, her voice laced with sarcasm.

"I wouldn't let anyone deliver food to her for every meal; that would waste a lot of time," Grandma Sari said thoughtfully.

"Right," Ling said, feeling satisfied with that.

"I'm going to let her come and eat here for every meal."

"Hah??" Ling exclaimed, taken aback.

"It's good that you're here. Go tell N'Orm to come and eat dinner," Grandma Sari ordered.

Ling turned to Nanny Aomm, her eyes wide.

"Nanny Aomm, please go to her, na? I'll cook."

"Nooo! It's her first time eating here, and I need to cook myself! I need to impress her. You go!" Nanny Aomm insisted, dashing into the kitchen.

"Nanny Aomm!" Ling shouted after her.

"You go, Ling, now," Grandma Sari said, her voice still warm but firm.

Ling sighed, realizing she had no choice.
...

At the hut, Ling frustratedly called for Orm.

"Heyyy!"

"Heyyy!"

"Heyyyy!"

Ling shouted three times, but no reply came. She huffed and went to check the front door, mumbling to herself about where that kid had gone.

"I'm here!" Orm suddenly appeared behind her, wrapped in a towel, her body still wet from bathing in the lake.

Ling turned to the voice, only to realize Orm was in a towel. She instinctively put one hand over her eyes and pointed at Orm with the other.

"Don't you have clothes to wear? Why are you practically naked???"

"I just came back from the lake! Am I supposed to wear a suit?" Orm said teasingly, a playful grin on her face.

"Why don't you dress more appropriately? You're a girl; why are you dressing so revealing?" Ling exclaimed, her irritation rising.

"It's a quiet place like this; nobody's around anyway. Besides, how was I supposed to know P'Ling would come here?" Orm replied, the teasing tone evident in her voice as she emphasized "P'Ling".

"Also, I have a towel covering me... or do you want me to take it off too?" Orm teased, taking a step closer to Ling.

"Stopppp! If Grandma hadn't asked me to come here to tell you dinner is ready, I wouldn't be here! What kind of person are you? Pervert!" Ling exclaimed, her face flushed as she turned and sprinted back to the main house.
