Months pass by in a rush. It was Friday evening. Sitting at the dining table, discussing which film they are going to watch tonight, Louis pulled out an envelope from his pocket, sliding it to Harry.
"What is that?" he asked, confused.
"Open it," Louis said with a mysterious smile.
Harry opened the envelope and found three tickets to Italy. "Lou..." he started, his eyes widening in surprise.
"I know it's a little late for a honeymoon but perfect for our anniversary" Louis said with a soft smile.
"But, your studio and the shop." Harry replied, sounding concerned.
"All sorted." Louis said with a big smile on his face. "Everything's taken care of."
Hugging Poppy Harry says "We are going to Italy my princess."
Poppy, understanding just enough to get excited, beamed up at her dads. "Italy! Yay! Can we eat pizza there?"
Louis and Harry laughed. "Yes, we can definitely eat pizza there," Louis assured her.
A week later, the family was buzzing with excitement as they packed their bags and prepared for their flight. Poppy was bouncing around, trying to decide which toys to bring, while Harry and Louis double-checked their travel documents.
At the airport, Poppy was fascinated by everything—the people, the planes. Running around with her eyes wide open she explored everything. It was difficult for the heavily packed couple to keep up with her.
The flight itself was smooth. Harry and Louis were seated next to her, trying to keep her entertained during the flight. Poppy turned to them with wide eyes. "Daddy, Papa, how does the plane stay in the sky?" she asked, her voice filled with wonder.
Harry smiled and glanced at Louis. "Well, love, planes have wings that are shaped in a special way. When they move fast through the air, the air goes over and under the wings, and that makes the plane lift up and stay in the sky."
Poppy looked thoughtful for a moment, then asked, "Like a bird?"
Louis nodded, "Exactly, Poppy. Just like a bird, but a plane has engines that help it go really fast."
Poppy seemed satisfied with this explanation, but her curiosity wasn't filled yet. "Are we going to see lots of birds in Italy?"
Harry chuckled, "We might see some, but Italy has a lot of other exciting things too. Beautiful cities, yummy food,"
Louis added, "And we'll go to the beach, and you can play in the sand and swim in the sea."
Poppy's eyes lit up. "Yay! Can we build a big sandcastle?"
"Of course we can," Harry said, ruffling her hair. "We'll build the biggest sandcastle ever. And you can collect seashells and look for little crabs."
Poppy giggled, "I want to find the prettiest seashells! And can we swim in the sea too?"
"Definitely," Louis replied. "We can swim and splash around all day."
Poppy bounced in her seat with excitement. "Can we have a picnic on the beach too?"
"Absolutely," Harry said. "We'll pack a big picnic with all your favourite foods. And we'll eat right by the water, under the sun." Poppy's eyes widened with excitement.
As the plane continued its journey, Poppy climbed onto Harry's lap, looking out the window, her imagination filled with images of sandy beaches, sparkling seas, and endless family adventures. Slowly drifting off.
